Lora is still being negative, moving around in wide circles to the left and rushing Diaz when backed to the ropes to press his arms into him and propel backward for added speed. Diaz is walking him down and getting some power shots through with high rights and left hooks to the body. Lora flurries up high and gets Diaz in a low headlock. Diaz ducks another 1-2 and they spin around together. Lora takes a soft body shot and some cuffing wrists from behind to the face while turning and falling to his hands and knees. It looked more like he lost balance. Sparkle Lee calls it a knockdown. :conf Diaz hops around, pulling his trunks up. Lora is now coming forward, seemingly pissed off about the bogus knockdown. Lora lands a left hook as Diaz is ducking to his right.

This isn't a great showing so far for Diaz, but a lot of that is due to Lora's style.

Diaz thrives when met halfway.

 

Round 3

Immediate pause. They fix something in Lora's corner? Glove tape? Anyway, Diaz picks up where he left off. Grinding in and windmilling. Lora backs up and tries to locate some counters. Lora tosses out a nice uppercut as Diaz is coming forward. Lora lands a low blow and is warned. Diaz takes a very brief moment and is back to pressing in with his hands up at his ears. Lora is standing in a bit, throwing long shots at him and trying to back him up. Lora abandons his post and backs up as Diaz keeps ducking and weaving through the fire. Diaz lands a hard jab driving forward. Lora is battered to the ground by a looping left right combo! No knockdown called. Timeout instead. Did Sparkle think those were rabbit punches? They were borderline and one definitely caught Lora in the back of the head. That's the only explanation for not counting Lora out right now. He's been sitting down for more than ten seconds. More than thirty, actually. WTF is this?? Lora is sitting down, quitting!!!
