    Round 1 was close but ineffective for either. De Leon was more active but Gamboa landed the more telling blows so I gave him the round.

    Gamboa looks really off tonight. Hes getting hit with some goofy shots. Has he fought many southpaws? :think

    I still gave him that round but he looks sloppy. Maybe he needs a reality check.

    Gamboa throws a high right hand and a left hook to the body. Ponce De Leon ducks through the shots and throws his own. Gamboa is throwing out straight jabs and picture-perfect left hooks but not stepping in to get close enough to guarantee landing. Ponce De Leon is just winging overhand lefts and making rainbows through the air before Gamboa. Now Gamboa opens up and throws a long combo against Ponce De Leon at the ropes. Gamboa complains of a low blow. Ponce De Leon backs up and elbow-blocks a jab to the body. Long overhand left by Ponce De Leon. Gamboa reaches across with a big right hand, landing bluntly. Ponce De Leon tries to stand in and jab, but Gamboa is too light on his toes on the outside.
