They come together, Solis ducking in and Gamboa hits him behind the hit during a flurry of quick hooks and gets warned. Solis is dropped moments later!!!! FAST punches from Gamboa, jab and chopping right. Solis is all ****ed up!!!! Gamboa comes on!!!! BIG PUNCHES!!! FAST PUNCHES!!!! Solis ducks and buries himself in Gamboa's chest. HARD BODY SHOTS BY GAMBOA, SO QUICK!! Solis hurt. Referee warns him for low. They weren't really. Gamboa punch-tackles Solis and it's ruled a KD. OK Whatever. HARD RIGHT HAND, bang on the kisser. Solis takes it well. Gamboa with rights to the body. Leaping RJJ left hook by Gamboa. Jones doesn't even comment on it!! Come on, Roy! That was an homage!! Hard upper-hook to the body by Gamboa. Solis is just useless against the speed. Double jab by Solis, then a right to the body. Gamboa winds up a big hook and misses. HARD jab to the face by Gamboa.

Didn't someone just say in the last fight that 10-7 rounds are rare?

 

Uh-oh. Gamboa landing 50% of his power punches. Somewhere, Jim Lampley is ejaculating through the ceiling.

 

Round 3

Gamboa is warned again for rabbit punches. Quasi-intentional. Solis creating the opportunity, though. Just how it goes. HARD left hook to the cheek, then a right cross to the gut by Gamboa. Solis tries to jab Gamboa in the face and then drop a right to the body as Gamboa is moving. Gamboa leaps in with another Jones hook but misses. Gamboa feints with a right hook to get Solis to abandon a punch he already had cocked. Gamboa landing quick hooks.

Kellerman finally comments on the 1000 lb gorilla in the room (similarity between Gamboa and Jones). Jones just chuckles. :yep

Left hook, right cross. Good combo for Gamboa. Solis isn't terrible in there, just overwhelmed.
