I think Jorge Solis has an edge on this fight. The size(hts) adv. + experience.
    What do you think?

Solis is a durable fighter. He can pull it thru Decision if he capitalise his height advantage, constant jab and not to engage toe to toe, I think he has a chance to upset Gamboa!

Solis is going to beat the hell out of Gamboa's body. The Gamboa hype-train is going to get derailed. Gonna be epic.

I'm leaning on Solis on this.

Solis is slower than Gamboa but he's got the physical advantage in height and in reach, he is a veteran fighter who's got pop on his punches so he can give Gamboa fits if he fights smart.

I don't know I'm not fully decided yet. I want to see the weigh In.

I told all of you last time that Gamboa was gonna have a tough time with Salido... I think Gamboa will win but Sollis is a very live underdog, this is actually a dangerous fight for Gamboa, considering that he has a big fight with Lopez in the future... I give him props though for not sitting on the side lines,, he has recently stepped up his competition.

The late rounds will be crucial for both guys.... I see Gamboa taking an early lead and Solis surging strong in the midrounds... Gamboa might have to dig deep in this one and if he doesnt Solis might pull the upset off..... Im about 60/40 leaning towards Gamboa.

I remember Erick Morales commenting on Solis ( who was a sparring partner ) before his fight with Pacquiao. He said he didn't see Solis pulling out the win because he lacked "corazon" (heart).

True enough, Solis was looking like he was giving Pac fits with his akward style landing decent shots. But as soon as he got nailed with a solid shot from Pac he was fighting scared.

He might have his moments early on against Gamboa but once El Ciclon gets his rythm going that's it, Solis will start crumbling. He has decent power and Gamboa does make mistakes and at times gets overly aggressive, so he has a chance.

I think Gamboa will take it somewhere around the 6th - 8th. Don't forget Mikey Garcia is on the undercard I think he can give Gamboa a good fight since it looks like Lopez don't want nothing with Yuriorkis.

It seems like there's virtually no middle ground with Gamboa.

With Solis, as with Salido before - you either get the "he's cherrypicking bums" idiots, or you get the "this will be the time he gets KTFO, ____ is a step too far" haters. :yep

It should be a tough fight for both, and should last into the late rounds at least (if not go the distance).

I just watched Solis-Pac the other day as a primer and let me tell you, Solis fought with a lot of heart in that fight. Pac landed some absolute bombs in that fight and Solis stood right in there. Obviously, in the end Pac was too much, but it wasn't because Solis lacked heart. I would also like to add that Gamboa isn't even close to being as good as Manny was then.

Gamboa is a lot like Andre Berto: free swinging headhunter with no regard for defense. Both guys are where they are because of their speed and athleticism, not much more. I'd also like to add that Gamboa is far from an accurate puncher. Solis will take advantage of that, and I expect him to break Gamboa down to the body as the fight wears on.

Maybe I should watch the fight with Pac again, since I havn't seen it since it went down live. But I remember thinking to my self, " what are you doing? you had him, you had him " as I was going for Solis.

I'm not making up the Erick Morales comment, and who would know about his heart better than a sparring partner? Or maybe Morales just has a high standerd in that department.

regardless my friend I don't think Solis can pull out the victory in this one.
