Yuriorkis Gamboa vs Orlando Salido WBA/IBF Unification match on July 24.

Mind you, i didn't say it to criticize Gamboa, just to point out that this is (on paper) the most solid opponent he's faced.

 

HBO shouldn't buy this crap but they are going to, unfortunately.
Salido's belt is worthless and this just isn't a good matchup. It's bull**** actually.

I wouldn't have minded if Top Rank didn't do their usual bull **** of promising a great card of

Gamboa-Caballero
Soto-Peterson

And then we end up with Gamboa-Salido and Peterson-Rios. There is no comparison between the two and considering the amount of BS that Top Rank have come out with (Caballero pricing himself out) they should have this date pulled it would be a great statement from HBO to make that they won't stand for crap from promoters. If they had started with this card then I wouldn't have minded but I hate all this bull crap hype surrounding these cards and then they never see the light.

 

i just put up an article on pelenchins site about this bs (celestinocaballero.com). it is really sad this fight is taking place instead of gamboa fighting Pelenchin

 

Yeah I read that this morning. Too bad, I was looking forward to seeing Gamboa fight again.

 

they should cancel the fight and match gamboa up with somebody worthy

 

im surprised robert guerrero never settled the score with salido which makes me think of a better matchup Guerrero-Gamboa.
