Abril holding on nightmare gamboa would probably kock him out but he has that slick hold and run style to a tee... mother****ers a clown he even laughat his disgraceful performance ...all those smiles looked like he was having fun spoiling the night and my 55 bucks,
Abril KO 5. Gamboa has never fought similar style and at 135, vs a tall skilled fighter, he gets stopped, don't do it gamboa.
ABril has a pretty big size advantage, and he would use his size to hold and lean on gamboa i still hope gamboa would send him back to farming though
Could definitely see Abril's height and awkwardness bothering him, and maybe Abril scoring a knockdown with one of those sneaky quick right hands despite lacking power...but Gamboa is the type to scrape himself off the canvas and find a way to win...and his speed is off the charts compared to Abril's...:think
Would be very interesting, Gamboa should have been the one schooling(or getting stopped by) Rios but oh well What Gamboa should do is fight Garcia, after that Salido rematch, Gonzales, Russel Jr, followed by Donaire and Rigo fights at 126. and to finish it up vs Broner at 130!!!!!!!!!! Imagine those 7 fights under his belt. You see any of them beating Gamboa? All 7 fights should be Great matches.:happy I'm dreaming
¿ Whats the point in a fight like that ? , Abril has already fought Gamboa in the ams a few times and always lost . The reason he defeated Rios is because Rios is a defenseless overhyped bum , ¿ why not Abril vs JMM ? , that's a more interesting fight ( IMO ) than Gamboa vs Abril . Peace .
Oh I get it , all it took was $55 to make you see sense . Remember it's all about one thing : BOXING SCHOOL . By the time " Bum " " Bum " was fighting gangbangers in Central LA Abril was studing boxing , fighting the best day in day out . ¿ see how it works ? , Peace .
Abril HAS FOUGHT Gamboa many times before ( ams ) and the result has always been the same , Gamboa wins , they are not on the same level , any Cuban knows that . And for every style there's a solution if you know what you're doing . Peace .
I agree, there would be little point in it in reality. I brought it up because there have been many claiming - straight up through this weekend - that Gamboa ducked Rios out of fear he'd lose to him. Of course everyone also thinks Abril schooled Rios, nevermind the cards. So this is a chance for people to say whether they think the man who schooled Rios would beat the man who "ducked" him (although by our reckoning, of course he wouldn't). Not at all surprising that Gamboa beat him every time in the amateurs. Were they all on points, or did he ever stop Abril?
I hate to say it but I might actaully pick Abril. His hieght, size and arm length would make him a problem for anyone.
