Who do you got at 135 for 12 rounds? Yuriorkis Gamboa 22-0(16) 5'5½ 31 years old This content is protected vs Vasyl Lomachenko 0-0 5'7 25 years old This content is protected
Just like the other thread you have to go for Gamboa as he is more proven at this stage, even if his career has fallen off the rails somewhat. Give it some time though, and this could be a great match-up.
We need to see Lomachenko fight as a pro at the top level before really being able to give an answer. My guy feeling is Lomachenko with a bit of pro experience would win, i think he's as exceptional a talent as I've seen. That said things will only become fully clear when he's a pro at the highest level, and some of the questions we need answered about how his chin, stamina etc hold up are answered.
Great matchup,I would have favored gamboa a couple years ago but he's been a bit rustly lately & vasyl hasn't even hit his prime yet.Intriguing bout no doubt.
Vasyl needs to be tested over twelve rounds as a pro. Vasyl has tons of P4P potential, and in a few years he could definitely beat Gamboa at pro level.
Right now Lomachenko would get destroyed. Give him a dozen pro fights and id confidently pick him to do the job though:yep
Lately I've found myself voting against Gamboa in 80% of hypothetical matches, but would favor him all day over Loma. I just won't give amateurs the benefit of the doubt. I can't.
Athletic boxers have never troubled Vasyl. Lomachenko is defensively and technically way too advanced for Gamboa. I think it would look similar to this fight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlcXQULT3Hk
A special talent indeed to be talked about at 25 years old with 0 pro fights against Gamboa. Very excited to see Lomachenko go pro. I have a soft spot for Olympic champions (legitimate ones).
