Yuriorkis Gamboa will be the future P4P #1 fighter in the World !!!

Man, I don't know how to get this into your head. This is not about Juanma Lopez. If Lopez gets KO by Gamboa, I will be as happy as if Lopez KO Gamboa. It's not about that. And BTW, that fight (if ever happens) will not make any of them P4P #1. Let's start by saying P4P is a bull**** concept where everybody put their favorite boxer in the #1 position. Then, I will tell you once again, Gamboa is a great boxer and a great person. But that is not reason to talk about him everyday. You can't talk about anything else but Gamboa. YOu sound like you are in love with him. When you have any news about Gamboa, POST IT. But dont be starting nuthuggering threads. They are useless!

 

The sky is the limit, but he needs to tighten up his defense. I lvoe his killer instict though. He is a very exciting fighter.

 

he needs to fight top fighters to make it to the top.. you can only go by reputation for so long... if he beats caballero and juanma and beats them convincingly that puts him in the top three right there but lets wait and see how he does first

Rigondeaux is a better boxer. If they fight he will beat him and he will not be #1 p4p.

 

Problem with Gamboa and every cuban boxer is discipline.Once they get some money and fame they are promp to get carried away and neglect the sport.Parties,blondes,cuban food,happy life that comes with success in the ring.
Does Gamboa has the tools to become #1 p4p ..yes/ will he stay focus on his career and devote himself to the sport? i dont know.
Hope Gamboa wont be tempted and become the champion he can be.

not really, he has been dropped on more than 1 occassion by journeymen. If he is to be p4p number 1 he wont be fighting journey men, so its a legitimate claim to say he will be dropped a few more times, and against better opposition he wont be getting up too quickly...

 

What about Lara??

 

Lara is good and has potential like his fellow Cubanos (Gamboa and Rigondeaux), but his footwork is why I put him a little behind. He tends to stay in front of his opponents and steps back at times instead of laterally. Lara has all the tools and speed to outbox someone like Angulo. But if he does this against "El Perro" he'll get chopped down like Julio.

 

This is a possiblity, one I've never gave much thought on. :think, this will be good. I would love to see this, but I doubt the Cubanos wouln't want to see this, being one of their prospects will get eliminated by the other.
