    see he's fighting miguel beltran.

assumed he'd be at lightweight after the time off.

and the fact he's now 30 (nearly 31).

Steve Kim is saying that Michael Farenas is now going to face Gamboa on Dec 8. I don't know what happened to Beltran but it looks like he's out for some reason.

Ya Gamboa needs to fight more often. He isn't getting any younger, and typically fighters with his sort of advantages (speed and more speed and maybe some reflexes) peak earlier in their careers.

Also I think there is only a 2" height advantage for Broner. I don't think that is too much to overcome. i like the idea of the two of them squaring off.

2 inches in height, and a frame that can easily make 140 and will probably stop at 154

Maybe, win isn't guaranteed though nothing is in this sport.Broner earned my respect not fully yet till he moves up but he beat the #1 demarco got no excuses.Burns, then gamboa(division is weak though). He's called out both but boxing world still wants to see em duke it out. It's 50-50 in my book or broner might have the slight advantage but I like my chances with gamboa.Lets not overrate demarco though great warrior but he's no corrales or castillo.

You are making a dangerous mistake underestimating Broners dedication to imitate Floyd

Broner could potentially go to 154.. he has a frame that could get there.. look at Berto.... and Bundrage.... Broner could maybe reach 154... but 147 for sure...

Now with Gamoba vs Broner.. sad to say I have to take Broner... Broner is fast and huge.... Gamboa is the faster fighter.. but Broner is just too sound defensively and good with his reach and in fighting. too many advantages over Gamboa if you ask me..... I honestly think no one below 135 beats Broner today.. to beat him, you need Bam Bam or Garcia or Matthyese.. and that's not even guaranteed... but Broner vs Gamboa.. I give the edge to Broner

I'd favor Gamboa by a little bit, more mobile, more versatile, more fluid in his offensive & defensive maneuvers.
