Stylistically he's more like the next RJJ. He's agressive, a real showboxer, very unorthodox, amazing speed and reflexes and throws much more punches than Pretty Boy. He certainly has the makings to become the next p4p star. We'll see if he lives up to the expectations.
yes, i can still picture out how he evade those punches with his guard down and lets not forget fighters at the lower weight are more skilled and faster so its just amazing how he does that. Since he's 5'5 i think he'll probably stay at the lower weights and dominate
Gamboa is absoloutely phenominal, I agree with Brooklyn in that he reminds me of a 122lb Guzman with more power but a more stationary style. He's got everything it takes to be great, blazing speed, power, defence, footwork, accuracy and great use of angles. Hes fighting good opposition for a fighter with 9 fights and is destroying them like a true A level elite. I'm not too worried about his chin either, he was never stopped in the Amateur's and hasn't shown any signs of having dodgy punch resistance. He was on radio yesterday saying he wants to fight Pacquiao as soon as possible to prove he's the best in the world. He sure has alot of confindence in himself.:yep
thats great i like both fighters but pac is now at 135. I wouldn't want to rush gamboa and have him fight pac at 135, i would want him to stay where he's at and dominate.
