Gamboa can be hit, you're right. But Linares doesn't have Naseem Hamed type power. He wears you down and stops you. Gamboa's reflexes are such that Linares wouldn't be landing enough to wear you down. Combine that with Gamboa's unpredictable/blazing offense and you've got yourself a KO of Jorge Linares. Marquez is actually one of the finest technical boxers I've ever seen. Does everything by the book. Can't say the same for Linares.
As of now Linares has more stamina than Gamboa I think. So if they fought now, gamboa better beat him before the 8th otherwise Linares can win the last 4 rounds when gamboa's tired as hell. In general I pick gamboa over linares (linares can be hit as well:roll. PS.: Does gamboa live permanently in the US now?
Im just asking because ive never seen Gamboa beyond the 4th round, does he get gased in the later rounds? because hes no newbie to the sport im pretty sure out of his 400 amateur fights hes gone the distance atleast a couple of times.
Well the maximum distance in amateur/Olympic boxing is 4x2 minutes. Against De Jesus he fought untill the 6th in which he ko'd De Jesus. But the way he comes out blazing and punching like a machine gun isn't something you can do for 10/12 rounds. The human body just doesn't allow you too. But I think he'll be allright:yep By the time he's facing someone who might take him into deep waters, he'll be ready for that.
:nono valero beat demarco stopped him, the same fighter who stopped linares does this make linares a c- fighter :bart
