Probably a result of a unintentional clash of heads. If that causes the fight to be stopped before four rounds, it goes into the books as either a NC or a ND.

Saw him versus DeJesus on Wednesday night fights. He's got some skill and some pop, but I suspect that Gamboa's speed and over-all skillset may be too much for him. Still, he should give Gamboa a pretty decent fight for a few rounds.

If Gamboa stops this guy in 4 or 5 rounds.....well, he might as well skip the formalities and call out Valero.

Valero is very very crude. In all honesty, I could be crazy, but I think the more polished pro is Gamboa between the two. You can see everything Valero throws from a mile away....he hits a ton, but I am not sure he could even hit Gamboa square if you gave him 24 rounds.

not to mention gamboa has a good punch from what i've seen. it's not out of the question he'd get valero out of there quickly. he'll have no problem countering valeros wide ass swings. he just needs to keep his hands up and not get cocky.

give Gamboa time, yes hes got experience and hes 26 but there is no need to rush the guy. Let him get at least 18-20 fights and then throw him in with the demons.

Bingo. People forget that Mosquera almost had Valero out of there. Gamboa would surely finish the job once he gets Valero hurt. I would take Gamboa to ko3 Valero.....and for the last time no im not kidding people! Gamboa is the truth

It's great to see how quickly he's stepping it up. It could potentially backfire and he might lose within his next 5 or 6 fights, but I highly doubt it. He has the feeling of something truly special.

At this point, I'd pick him to stop Valero anywhere between 3 and 6. Valero is a crude, strong, basic power puncher. Gamboa is just too accurate, fast, defensively aware, and unpredictable. Valero would have trouble finding Gamboa and during exchanges, Gamboa's faster hands would give him the edge. He'd be hitting Valero from all angles, putting a good deal of punishment on him before getting the TKO victory.

    we'll see.
what i like about gamboa is that he's always throwing punches around.
he might counter punch valero's bombs.
