Right, Froch is no swea pea so if he dosent take Yusef out early he's going to have to work a bit before Yusef either gases or crumbles under Froch's pressure. Some people think this a totally **** fight but trust me if will be more entertaining than some would expect. Life MidWest just mentioned the dude can box and does have some good skills he's just one of those guys that can keep it together or keep it consistant...he also seems to lack those critical intangibles that fighters like Froch have....iron will to overcome adversity and win, I havent seen Yusef do it and I don't think he has it in him.
fine and good for a non title fight. to pretend and sell this off as a world championship fight is a farce. just because you fight the best 90% of the time, to say you get a pass for fighting a guy thats not even in your weight class, not even ranked is another. there are guys in his own division that suck enough for an easy fight that are still ranked. this is just garbage
thats all fine and good, but to break rules by giving him a shot at his title is being over looked. thats the problem with boxing and the fans...its ok to break these rules but not other rules. this should be a non title fight or it just reinforces how Valid these titles are
Or go after Cleverly paper title, it time froch steped up and came a two weight champ, i fought every fighter below the heavies want to be multiweight champions? :huh
Well he is fighting Bute in Canada in March so it's a smart safe opponent. I'll be watching because Frochy always brings it
Well I can't argue that point, Yusef is clearly underserving of a title bout IMHO but the God's have spoken. I'd rather see him against Kessler or even Dirrel (don't spank me) If Ward was to beat Dawson that would be an excellent rematch for boxing though it could just be another Ward grind it out/schooling. If Dawson shows he can preform at 168lbs how epic of a fight would that be, Dawson would be forced to fight with Froch's pressure and that would breed fire freaking works. Anyway.....your avy sorta throws me off because it seems like the pic was taken at a confusing point in Holy's career "Should I go bald or keep trying to patch in this painfully depreciating flat top"
Me personally, I cant honestly fault Froch for taking a easy fight...After all of the top comp. he's faced in here in the past...he's entilted to that.
We all know this is a keep busy fight and a pay day, something outside the norm for Froch. Hopefully Mack brings his "A" game and makes it entertaining, but I don't see Carl losing this one.
I think Froch deserves a break from fighting the best available. God knows most of his main nemeses in title holding, Ottke, Bute and Calzaghe had 3-6 year breaks from them so its odd to begrudge him one middling opponent.
