Duhaupas is just spurting jabs all over the place in Ouatah's general direction, erring on the side of "throw a bunch of mud at the wall and see what sticks". Ouatah isn't exactly staying immaculately spotless, although Duhaupas is probably landing a pitiful 3% or so. Ouatah is also, when he puts his mind to it, getting in some very flush counters as Duhaupas is utterly neglecting defense - including a PEACH of a beautiful uppercut sliding in that snaps Duhaupas' head back - mostly 1-way traffic, however. The few jabs that do actually touch Ouatah are performing the desired function: driving him into the ropes where Duhaupas is able to unload his true directive: meaty hooks on the body, which are taking ever more of a toll, along with heavy clubbing shots inside (mostly illegal, but again, jarring Ouatah as they have been all night, doing accumulative damage even if they aren't scoring points).

Round 8

Duhaupas is ripping the lumpy, telegraphed jab as far as he can, extending so emphatically you can hear the connective tissues of his armpit tearing, and somehow that jab is actually landing now as Ouatah backs straight up, fresh out of ideas. Ouatah tries diving in to hold and is rattled by an uppercut flurry. Duhaupas walks Ouatah down, blinking off any weak counter jabs that come his way. Duhaupas ROCKS Ouatah with a stiff jab, getting extra force on it by slipping his lead foot past Ouatah's and stepping through as Ouatah unwisely slows down his flight. Duhaupas crams a right hand into Ouatah's face as he's leaning on the ropes and Ouatah crumpes! Up and saved by the bell.

I missed the Rivas fight but read that he looked poor versus the Spaniard (a guy Lewandowski kayoed inside 4!!!) but also read he did have the flu so maybe that mitigates it a bit. How bad did he look?

Some versions of Rivas that I've seen beat Duhaupas easily. If he wasted his prime and is stuck in a rut now, however, I could see Duhaupas out-hungering him.

 

He is so ridiculously slow. He makes Lucas Browne seem like David Haye.
