Terrible news. It's a reminder of just how brutal and unforgiving the sport we love can be. Have to respect anyone that does this for a living. I hope he recovers fully and can lead a good life after boxing.

I was at a crown promotional event at the orleans casino that hosted Z Gorres and the guy that was put in a coma by Katsidis. I forget his name. Tough as nails..

    Where was this fight at?

    Hope he pulls through.

  7. Hate to say it, but I bet this is from residual vic-damage.

A very very sad development. Those comas are a very dire sign. His chances may not be too good =(. Its even sadder that his older brother Jun, also a boxer, died tragically in some sort of street brawl. Some families just seem to be jinxed. Pray for the guy and hope he makes it.

Just upgraded from critical to stable condition. I think its safe to say the Montiel fight won't happen and his career is likely over. Such a shame because this kid had skill and loads of potential.

it is an SOP for him under that state to minimize his brain metabolism. remember there is an increase in intracranial pressure so you dont want to stress that brain out. hopes he survive. just heard he was conscious this morning and they induced him again into coma. he is still in danger .

If he was upgraded to stable from critical that is really good news. I am glad. It sounds like he is on his way to recovery if that is the case.

You're thinking about Amonsot. He ended up with some swelling on the brain but I don't think he had to have surgery like Gorres. The fights last night were at the House of Blues. And your boy Melligen lost, told you he sucked.
