Well, with Montiel not looking sharp in his last outing some people were thinking Z might've had a good chance in the rematch, especially given that it was close the first time. That would have been a huge win. From there...? Who knows what he was capable of? He gave Darch a hard time too. He was a tough styles match-up for a lot of good guys.
He was on the same level as Montiel and Darchinyan imo, got robbed against Montiel and gave Darchinyan hell for a fight Gorres should of lost that ended in a draw. He just wasnt mananaged properly, had a not so exciting style of fighting and had poor late round stamina. The guy can outbox anyone at or near the division for the first 8 rounds of a fight but drastically crumbles late. Like Darchinayn and Montiel today though, he was clearly showing signs of decline. Its sad as he will never be champion when he was more than qualified to but thats nothing compared to winning a battle against death.
youre crazy boom boom, you are a filipino nuthugger, gorres gave a tougher fight to darch than montiel.
Sonsona is way better than Gorres he is only 19 yr old.He can go the distance, box or brawl- plenty of power and most importantly EXCITING TO WATCH.Gorres is boring runner.Watch for Sonsona's much anticipated 122 debut. Also some Puerto Rican 122 pounder challenged the kid. I mean dang!! boricua! hold up. He is only 19 with 15 fights
This thread isn't exactly about Sonsona... It's about a guy who suffered a devastating injury putting his life on the line in the ring whether you consider him a "boring runner" or not...a little more respect might be in order.
