Skilled southpaw with speed and power=Ricky go night night. But interestingly, I don't think Judah would quite do it early. I think he'd need a few rounds to get the right punches together. And he's damn inconsistent.... Styles favor him so strongly...But personality and character favor Hatton.
so who do you pick? remember hatton fights at an extremely fast pace and judah fades down the stretch.
Judah is all wrong for Hatton and would knock him out much the same way Pacquaio did. Hatton could never fight southpaws, look at his fight against Magee where he was down twice or his fight against Collazo where he couldn't get out the way of the right hook in either occasion
A slick fighter is one that uses unconventional styles of defense attached to angles, use of shoulders, and pivots to prompt reactions from opponents and force misses. I literally needed that defined for me by a master, but that is what he told me. I took it to mean fighters who use distance and speed instead of gloves and lateral head movement to defend themselves.
What about his fight with Witter, oh wait he ducked that 1 for 10years Those fighters werent very good, not the best in England, the best southpaws in England were Witter and Vanzie, who were the best 140lber and 135lber in the country, why didn't he fight them? Thaxton gave him a fight as it was and he was a LW. Hatton also was offered fights with Judah/Corley when they had the WBO title and before Hatton was a titlist EDIT Urango hurt Ricky to the body and hurt him late, had him running the last 3 and literally jumping in from 3-4feet away to grab Urango without throwing a punch
I actually agree with a lot of what you said...but wanted to **** stir you on that broad southpaw statement. I think Ricky took another southpaw aswell. Witter was dangerous and they knew it.
At 140 i think ill take Hatton.... Judah takes an early lead but as usual starts to come unglued under Hattons relentless pressure in the mid to late rounds Hatton tko 11. At 147 i think a peak Judah(the One who beat Spinks) adjusted better at this weight.. I can see Judah winning to many early rounds and dropping Hatton maybe even stopping him.. Or if Hatton does last he makes a late surge but the early rounds cost him ..and Judah wins a somewhat close but convincing decision.
Judah was too slick and fast for Hatton, plus he punched way to hard for Hatton to keep coming forward. Hatton's power is overated so I think Judah knocks him out within 5 or 6 rounds.
just like witter ducked magee. hatton would have absolutely slaughtered vanzie, and I was a vanzie fan.
