how do you know its speciically ring intelligence thats the key ingredient to beat floyd, zab was fast, maidana was reckless and ballsy, everyone wants and has wanted pacquio to fight floyd for years and i doubt hes on many peoples list as fighter with best ring intelligence

Prime Zab Judah was much more well rounded than Amir Khan. People say Khan has a great skill set but they really only look at his speed. A skill set is all aspects of the game and Khan probably has a more negatives than positives:

Khan is fast with good combinations.
His power is average at best.
    His footwork is definitely average.
    No inside game.
    Not much of a chin.
    Bad defence.
Low ring IQ and can't stick to a game plan against a good fighter and gets dragged into their fight.

You don't need to be a Mayweather fan to understand that skill set is nowhere near good enough to beat Mayweather.

Good timing and accuracy will always beat Khan and Mayweather probably has the best timing and accuracy in the game. Or you can beat him on the inside like Peterson did.

Meldrick Taylor way fast as hell, faster than Khan but he always come up short against good accurate and intelligent fighters, like Khan always will. Speed is a great asset to have but you need to be smart with it and have other skills just as good to back it up. Don't forget how fast Mayweather was in his younger days, lightning quick but he was so well rounded thats why he is where he is today, he didn't get there on speed alone.

Actually you will find a lot of British people don't think Khan stands any chance at all, like myself. I've also seen Americans who think Khan will win, usually Floyd haters though. If they ever fought in the UK, i think you'd have more Mayweather fans there than Khan. Khan's stock in the UK is nowhere near what it was. It's been 10 years and a few bad losses since the olympics and he doesn't have the character or likability like a Hatton to keep a legion of fans. Khan struggled to sell out his last fight in the UK.

I think part of the reason he didn't get the fight in May was because the Mayweather team had realised he doesn't have that dedicated following like Hatton which equaled huge money. It seems people in America think he has some huge dedicated british following who go to his fights and sing etc...he doesn't. Maybe in the past he had more of that, now not many people care. He still has quite a few fans but nothing like you probably think.

Anyway, I'm not a fan of any particular fighters, i just love boxing and may the best man win and all that. I call a spade a spade and the truth is Amir Khan is just not skilled enough to beat Floyd Mayweather. That's no disrespect to Khan, he can beat some good fighters but he's not on that level. If they ever get in the ring you will see why it's a sport of different levels that count massively.

explain maidanas skill set for me leonard ellerbe, boxing is not as simple as just listing off traits that can and will beat others fighters, you say a good accurate puncher will always beat khan would you class kotelnik and judah as accurate punchers? you obviously class garcia as that but would mayweather try and win like garcia accepting getting hammered to the face to let his big power shots go probably not, peterson did what he did but he lost in most peoples eyes even with an extra two points

Maidana is wild and awkward but under Garcia he's a lot more intelligent than Khan. He's pretty good at cutting off the ring, his footwork is slower but it's more intelligent footwork. He's good at disguising his shots like the jab turning into a hook. He has a better chin, he can fight inside, he's stronger than Khan, hits harder. He's actually a little bit more skilled and clever than people give him credit for.

He does a lot of things better than Khan which make him a harder for Mayweather than Khan. As you know, styles make fights and Khan's style wouldn't put up a good fight against Mayweather even though Khan's style might some beat fighters more easily than Mayweathers could, but that's the nature of the sport.

Koletlkin and Judah are not on Mayweathers level in terms of ring IQ and knowing how to win and take fighters off their game and Judah was finished when Khan fought him. I actually rate that era of Khan, the one who beat Paulie and Judah better than Khan of today.

Mayweather would take Khan out of his game like he does every other fighter and it actually wouldn't be that hard to do. Maidana is awkward so it's harder to take him out of his game because he's wild anyway. Khan would be running into counters all night and after a few rounds of that he'd soon think twice about rushing in with his speed like he does.

Come on, much lesser fighters than Mayweather have handled Khan's speed. Diaz, Peterson, Garcia all had no problems dealing with it and they are no Mayweather, not even close.

Also, whatever you think of the Peterson fight, win or lose it showed Khan has no inside game at all.

They all had massive problems, before danny landed that shot he looked to be in serious trouble, diaz had a spell for like 4 rounds, peterson won like 4 rounds at best too.
Before the maidana fight everyone said he had an easy style for mayweather and from the guys you mentioned trouble to khan you can say zab troubled mayweather and a tall dela hoya had a jab that troubled floyd. Your right im not sure about this khan hes very different fight to fight I think 140 khan would beat mayweather, he had the speed to get in and land and get out again and it would be tought for mayweather to knock him out if khan fought with a high work rate and gameplan i think he wins enough rounds or at least has the chance too,
and what fighters are on par with mayweather with ring iq? theres very very few and even though this new khan ring iq is probably getting better the older less intelligent khan still seems better to you, i mean its just and easy thing to say because nobody really has the iq of mayweather in the division, its high and fast workrate that beats him de la hoyas fats jab landed judah was able to land his fast uppercut, and the judah that khan beat was coming of his best win ever not a loss in the middle of a three match lsoing streak

The old myth that Garcia was in serious trouble against Khan :yep :rofl :rofl

Khan had a good first round then Garcia started timing him from round 2, dropped him in round 3, saved by the bell and finished in round 4 :thumbsup

That is the problem. Khan's speed fools you into focusing on him in a fight and not what the other guy is doing, so you think he's easy winning and troubling the opponent when infact it's not always the case. Re-watch the Garcia fight and you will basically see Garcia has his number from the 2nd round.

Khan would probably have success against Mayweather for a couple of early rounds as well, then it will go downhill from there.

what do you mean had his number, yeah he started to nearly hit khan with big shots and landed some but he was being landed on consistently by khan more than any other fighter he was against, garcia was clearly losing unlike nearly all of garcias other fights where he started off ok i cant remember another fights opening where he was juts being landed on consistently as he was

khan had one good round. You can't base 'clearly winning' and being 'seriously in trouble' because of one opening round. Some fighters are slow starters and they see what they're dealing with and then deal with it.

One good round counts for nothing when you've been figured out by the second, the fight being effectively over in the 3rd and finished in the 4th.

Khan will always be good for a few rounds until he's figured out. Thats why he was a good amateur fighter, he's basically a 3-4 round fighter and if there opponent is smart enough with the tools to do the job, they will have his number for the rest of the fight. That's why he went life and death with Diaz, because he actually has a good ring IQ. If that wasn't a blown up lightweight, Khan wouldn't have seen the final bell.

By the way i'm not a Khan hater. I just simply think he's a pretty average fighter with 1 or 2 very good attributes. Nothing more, nothing less. And i still think he lost the Peterson fight. He was dragged into Petersons style and lost but it was close and Khan deserved the point deductions. You can't just push fighters across the ring because you can't fight inside.

you stated that all those guys mentioned had no trouble with khan, im just showing you that they did, and yeah khan is usually just good in the beginning of a fight but normally he wins enough early to have the fight over by the time the opponent gets going, Garcia looked to be in trouble he said himself that one of them was getting knockedout at that fight and up until that punch he was getting beat, khan won the second round and the third round before that punch which landed flush on his neck, danny also resorted to going low to get back in the fight
