One thing i wouldn't call Khan's speed is mastered. He is very fast but not intelligent with it.

The thing with Khan is that he's been a pro now for almost 10 years. He is not old in his age but as a boxer he should be a seasoned pro by now and he's still going to trainers to try and learn the fundamentals and basics of how to defend, things he should have been able to do years ago.

I'm not even sure Virgil Hunter would be the right man anyway. Aside from Andre Ward, who is a natural talent anyway, i don't rate him as a good trainer. For a man who is supposed to be intelligent, he is one of the most useless trainers at giving advice in the corner i've ever heard, simply because he gives no advice about the actual fight. Virgil Hunter speaks with a calmness and manner that gives off the impression he's a highly intelligent man but really he isn't.

He said he can turn Khan into a 'Thinking Mans Fighter' - I'm not sure. The man has been a pro now for 10 years and has some very bad habits that are probably completely ingrained in him now that any top fighter will expose. He should have been with a better trainer from day one of his career who could teach him the correct fundamentals while he's fighting journeymen on his way up, learning his craft properly....

But that's understandable. He was a big money maker and they were making big money even when he was fighting journeymen early on so as long as he was winning and generating money, that was all good for his team but the money took priority over his boxing. It took Prescott to flatten him to realise he needs to be with a proper trainer who can teach him but by then it's probably too late, after about 20 fights it's hard to shake those bad habits, no matter who's training you.

That's really the sad thing about Khan. He had great potential but they should have nurtured it from day one, not after about 20 fights. His team probably failed him, Frank W, his family but they didn't care as long as their pockets were filled. I believe he was badly advised early in his career from a boxing perspective. He could and should have been a great fighter but instead he is just a good fighter.

Would be an interesting fight, Floyd should win though. If Khan has the fight of his life and Floyd has an off night/age starts catching up with him Khan could win, his chances are slim though.
Floyd would be a clear favourite but that would be the case no matter who he fought (because he wouldn't agree to fight anyone who would be favoured over him) so that doesn't bother me. I think Floyd vs Khan is interesting because of the clash of styles, strengths and weaknesses.
