By Thomas Gerbasi - “I'm going to give the world what they want to see. That's Zab Judah, the best that ever did it.” – Zab Judah, August 2000

Days before Zab Judah’s second IBF junior welterweight title defense against Terronn Millett in August of 2000, those words rung in my ears. Part brash, part fun, but oh, so serious, Judah had the world at his feet back in those days.

The undisputed heir to Mike Tyson’s throne as the King of Brooklyn, the 22-year old was unbeaten, a world champion, and the idea of him being maybe not the best that ever did it, but someone who was in that conversation wasn’t something to be scoffed at.

Ten years and a roller coaster ride of a career later, Judah is still fighting, still standing, and though he chuckles when you remind him of his quote from a decade ago, the 32-year old is firm in his belief that the final chapter on his career has yet to be written.........AT 140 HE'S STILL A DANGEROUS OPPONENT FOR ANYONE! ............THOUGHS!

Ive always like Judah and this is a move he should have done a long time ago.

Anyways..... He should have moved down when Hatton, Witter, Urango and Malignaggi were the name guys there, he would have established himself as one of the premiere fighters there and who knows, maybe he could have been the man....

Now is a new era..... Bradley, Alexander, Khan, Ortiz.... lots of fresh, talented, and in most of their cases, hungry fighters.

It will be a monumental comeback imo if zab is able to regain momentum in his career and take control, or even make big waves, at 140 at this stage.... I will be rooting for him to beat everyone but Alexander, and i also think he has a good chance to beat anyone hes matched with there.

Zab is a name and 'on the slide' so it shouldnt be hard for him to get an opponent if he stops pricing himself out.... I look forward to him vs some ranked 140lbers.

Was he ever that super? If he was, it's done now. He is 0-4 in his last four title fights. He lost a race to Carlos Baldomir when he was in a Ferrari and Baldo was in a beat-up old pickup truck. Stick a fork in him. He's done. He's got a lucky punch in him for some name fighter, probably, but we're talking fluke territory now.

    Nope.

He once possessed super talent, but not super skills nor super discipline. Whatever super talent he had has been beaten out of him over the past few years.

Why?! Pac dominated two guys who beat Judah already. 0-4 in his last four title fights. Has not had a big in five years! Come on! Pointless!

Because some fools still believe Zab Judah has half a chance against elite level fiighters despite the fact that he hasn't beaten a noteworthy opponent in 5 years and has showed a steady decline in each and everyone of his losses since then.

I never said he still had it.

I saw him fight at the pearl theater with the casamayor cofight. He looked like dog****, but that's before this new revolutionary NEW super zab.

Judah is washed up on the "A" team circuit.... But he can still milk his name on ESPN against ham and eggers for a few more yrs........

He really should have snapped at that chance to fight Khan. He had more than a good chance of knocking him out, and it would have put him back on the map for sure.
