I mean, say the Kostya fight never happened, I don't think Zab would've achieved much (if any) more than he ended up achieving, and immaturity is the key factor in that for me. He grew up some down the stretch of his career, but too late to develop greater ring savvy while still in his physical prime. It hurt his image as a warrior, too — the guy had a solid fighting heart in him, I feel, but his childlike tendencies too often superseded it and gave the opposite impression. I think being anointed so early on has a certain amount to do with it. He was spoiled, killed with praise to an extent, and it took him a while to come to terms with that.
And after all that trash talk Glass Jawed Judah lost to Danny Garcia Yoel Judah is also one of the worst trainers out there. Total garbage.
This I can agree with. He offered little technically and tactically and only exacerbated Zab's issues with temperament (far from the cool head his son needed from a cornerman).
No biggie, man, I just figured the old thread would offer more of a feel for the consensus on that fantasy match than the limited response you may get in this one.
I agree but he wanted a rematch in Puerto Rico because to his own admission those ball shots "drained him". Not saying the results would be different
