Granted, I was wrong to call him a coward in general, he did step up and take those fights. But he's had several cowardly moments in the ring, you can't dispute that. Looking for a way out, an easy excuse to quit rather than even risk getting hurt. Is there any word for that besides cowardly? He's not the first fighter to be scared of getting hurt, accept it. He's had fine moments in his career but he's embarrased himself and let his fans down too many times when it really counted.

Mental weakness in comparison to his competition would be a better term.

I'd happily take ten grand to fight wlad but i'd lay down at the first bell so as not to take any punishment, I mean i'm a teacher not a fighter.

To see these people, these modern day gladiators risk their lives is something we should all respect.

Is judah a quitter? Absolutely. Is he mentally weak compared to his peers? I'd agree. Is he mentally weak compared to joe public? Absolutely not. Coward is a definitive label and not overtly relative.

Quitting is something he has done. Fact. But your thread title is not apt when labelling a professional boxer.

So what quitting was the brave choice ?

I said he made a cowards choice and he did.
He attacked a ref also cowardly.
He looked for away out against Cotto , cowardly.
He tried to suckerpunch someone during the melee at the mayweather fight , you guessed it cowardly

I know how tough boxing and fighting is and I never even dreamt of fighting at a level even 1% of what he did but that doesnt give you an excuse to then quit in fghts that you're getting paid for.

And you can continue all the keyboard warrior goading you want , that fact doesnt change.

I've just had an epiphany due to this post: the professional boxer is a coward and the internet poster is a warrior.

Thank you for helping me see the light.

P.s. If you were hoping for a serious response, my above reply to smokey joe should cover it.

He lacks disipline.he doesn't understand that refs can put a count on u and then to cover up for the onslaught. The guy hasn't learnt anything from way back re tyszu.

Well using your own shady logic ( Boxers are braver than anyone else ? ) Judah is at least a coward compard to other proffesional boxers and as this is a boxing discussion forum is perfectly legitimate to call him a coward.

and you're a teacher :patsch no wonder this country is ****ed.

Not anyone else, of course not. I'd say the military are the bravest. Emergency services are all heroes as well.

But I think a boxer fighting great fighters is a damn site braver than an internet poster who is content with discussing and watching these great fighters.

In a blind man's world, the man with one eye is king.

Yeah I taught every one in england and I did it really badly. I obviously failed to instill any manners or respect into yourself.

I'll strive to do better come september.

I know eh. Can you believe when he started they used to compare him to Pernell Whitaker, labelling him "Whitaker with Power"?

He's probably taken as many punches as Margarito and Gatti in his career

You gonna honestly tell me you do something that matches the bravery of prizefighting?

I have to walk into a class of crazy teenagers and convince them maths is the be all and end all. What I do requires no bravery hence i'd feel like a hypocrite was I to call a prizefighter a coward.

And since i've apparently educated the whole country i'd like to think we all know better.

Judah definitely has the talent to fight in the upper tier of the sport.

Unfortnately, like many of these young boxers, his head was/is just in the wrong place, and even though Mayweather has the same fukked up mindset, Judah just doesn't have the same level of nature talent to negate having a poisoned brain syndrome.

You want math? The "brave" Judah lands 20 punches in 5 rounds.According to my math teacher, that would be an average of 4 punches per round. The "heroic" Judah was paid $500,000 for the "effort".Again, that is $25,000 per punch landed.
Zudah quit and was there strictly for a paycheque. This is neither honourable nor respectful to the fans and the sport of boxing.I am sorry you cannot see the logic. Those that can-do,those that cannot-teach.
