After watching him training yesterday it was easy to see that Judah's conditioning leaves a lot to be desired. He clearly struggled working out his abs.Yes he has the 6 pack but falls way shot of Mayweather and Pacquiao's conditioning type.He has the skills no doubt but skills fall the moment the body gets tired. This probably explains why Zab is a 3 round fighter.Zab really needs to up his game if he wants to be taken seriously. He has to push his body beyond limits and probably get a good nutritionist.I think Zab gets fooled by the 6 pack he has but this is boxing which needs some super conditioning. I do not understand why his team has never realised that Judah was a 3 round fighter because of conditioning. If Judah trained as hard as he talks he would still be pound for pound top 3.His conditioning is the reason he quits very quickly, his body hasnt been challenged for long. What are you talking about struggling? His ab workout was off the chain and I'm sure the footage is at the end of the workout. What do you expect him to do? 1,000 sit ups without getting tired? :nut
That workout is unlikely to be at the end.He wasnt even sweating that much.Compare how some people work out and you will know what I mean by that.Even the way he hits the bag,he gives himself too much time to recover, that's not what elite fighters do.I guarantee you he cant beat Bradley,Khan,Alexander with this level of fitness. After round 3 he's cannon fodder
So are you saying that most elite fighters press through their workouts even when they're in pain and dead tired? In other words, are you implying that whenever Zab gets tired during his workouts he stops to catch his breath rather than push through it?
This was an open workout, everyone invited. No one shows his weaknesses during such a workout,if tired they press through. In any case elite fighters dont easily get tired, see how Manny and Floyd spar so many rounds? That's why they are conditioned.Zab seems to be surrounded by people who worship him and he doesnt really get challenged. Have you ever coached any sport or played competitive sport before. You dont need a lot to tell who is fit and who is not.a 6pack is decieving,Jermanin Taylor has one but that guy has never really been fit for a grueling boxing match
You can really see the difference between Floyd and Zab with the abs. It's pretty obvious. Mayweather always goes at the same speed no matter how long the work has gone. I guess not everyone can be like him and that abs workout looked damn hard. I just hate the way that when he is doing pads or working the bag he barely throws any punches.... surely that must translate into the fight!!
the difference between Flyod and Zab is mostly mental toughness. Zab came in on excellent shape againts clottey, but wants he felt that power he turned *****, see how Mayweather took Mosley's big punch and kept is composure, zab would of folded. Also in Zab's corner his trainer ( father) isn't the boss, he never listens to him. If you notice how Mayweather and other greats listen to every word their corner says, and says " Yes sir" after Mayweather SR wanted to train Zab, but Zab is to loyal to his father, he will forever be a what if story, every sport got one, and he's boxings what if.
i agree with this, no boxer on whatever level should really take that much recovery time unless they've been on the bag for a high number of rounds.
