Prime Curry? Whole nother level from Zab, bigger and better. Fantasy Zab matchups are generally a little more interesting at jr. welter
Fair enough. Ive made that same mistake before. Lets hope the other one made the same mistake as you, and isnt a total ****.
what's so funny? I was the first to vote for Zab. Zab has too much speed for a flat footed slugger like Curry. Anyone with any boxing sense can see that styles make fights and Zab's style is all wrong for the overrated Curry.
Oh boy.atsch Theres always one..... Curry a flat footed "slugger"? I cant even debate if you're gonna be such simple statements. But because I'm bored.... Curry destroys Zab. Plain and simple. Zab might have had faster hands then Curry, but he had faster hands then Tszyu as well. Look what happened. And in Curry we're talking about a bigger, faster, more powerful, more skilled version of Tszyu. This is a mismatch. Zab has no nowhere near the disipline or brains to box with Curry, and nowhere near the chin to handle the Cobra's power. This one ends early, and Judah would be out cold.
You obviously dont know much about Donald Curry. In case you're rusty... at one point he was considered right along side Hagler as the best fighter P4P. He was a BRILLIANT offensive techncian, who had a very tight defense. I challenge you to explain to me how exactly Tszyu was more skilled, and I'll laugh at your reasoning. No surprises ever in the general forum I see.
He was considered in the top 10 p4p (top5) for two years. 85,86. Tszyu was in The Ring Top10 P4P in 95,96,2001,2002,2003,2004. Tszyu was in the Ring Top10 JWW in his first year as a pro. Unheard of. Tszyu was a great amateur. At 5 10 1/2 Curry was a big WW. Judah became the linear champ and he was only 5 7 1/2 with no stamina no punch resistance no chin. Due to the size difference this is a mismatch in favor of Curry. Why exactly do you consider him to be more skilled than Tszyu?
Well for starters Curry had TWO fisted power, as opposed to Tszyu who's primary weapon was the right. Curry had better, quicker footwork then Tszyu, and shortened up his punches better, and Donald overall was the more fluid boxer with a better defense. Curry also has the better wins of the two as he obliterated McCrory, Lacrocca, and Jones, all of whom were very good fighters, and twice beat Starling, who was an excellent fighter. P4P the only thing I'd give Tszyu over Curry is a better chin. Power is about equal P4P. But Curry was better then Tszyu in every other aspect of the game. Curry in his brief prime was a VERY special fighter. Shame he burnt out so quickly. Tszyu was a great fighter with more longevity then Curry, but trust me.... prime for prime Kostya wasnt as special as Curry.
