Zab's comeback is looking good so far. this victory should set him up for a title shot, or eliminator against urango perhaps
I recall saying a couple of times many a year ago that I hadnt seen an up and coming fighter wow me like Joan Guzman did since a young Zab Judah. Never would have though they would ever fight...Man Guzman had some potential at 122, pity he just loved eating so much. Two athletic monsters but both mental midgets. I want to see Zab win this for some reason.
Thats actually a pretty interesting fight. I'm not sure who would win, Judah looked good in his last fight but Guzman is a much different and better fighter than Santa Cruz. I hope this fight comes off.
I hope so! Zab is gonna dust this guy off once and for all! He's been posing as a poor man's version of Floyd for years and has done nothing to warrant even that label. He's not even good enough to be a "Poor Man's version of FLoyd". He's just a good boxer and decent champion who couldn't make it to the highest level's of the sport. And I do like Joan....just not the hype he received.
That's a pretty good fight. I'd like to see Judah continue his successful comeback...something about fighters bouncing back after rough patches like that always makes me a fan.
in an interview yesterday guzman said that HBO aren't interested in having him fight on their network. if he fights judah that won't be a problem because judah's next fight will probably be on showtime who might see that this is a great matchup. in the interview he never made any reference of a fight with judah. here's the interview. http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/qa-joan-guzman-53633
you cant compare a 6 footer freak of nature who arm was as big as his body to zab who is smaller then guz
