Taylor is the safe bet. Judah was immensely talented but Taylor is excellent across the board and could take advantage of some of Judah’s shortcomings.
When I was managing a boy band and Josh Taylor was one of the singers, the other fellas in the band used to call him "Taylor the Nail-'er" on account of him nailing so many broads. But when Judah was pulling orderly duty on my wing when I was hospitalized for a rare form of something they call "walking oldness" and a brief bout of herpetic gouty constipation, Zab ain't nailed a one that I know about. But, trust me, neither did I during that same time. I still think Zab wins though. He looked phenomenal VS Mayweather and Zoo for a while. Beat a prime Mattricaint.
Taylor and the rest of his opposition are a level below Judah, Hatton, Tszyu, Mayweather et al. Judah KO.
Judah at the top of his game has the tools to win this fight, but he probably wouldn't. Guy found a way to lose all his biggest fights, Spinks rematch excepted. Taylor is just the more disciplined fighter. Methinks his tartan toughness grinds Judah down.
With all due respect Flo, what evidence is there of Josh accomplishing this? He BARELY got by Regis, and Judah was better than Prograis in 95% of categories. Josh is 1-2 against decent southpaws, and Judah was a level above both guys, Regis and Jack. Zab has always been a hated figure on this forum so of course everyone is picking against him, but truthfully prime Judah would mop the floor with Josh.
It’s more 50/50 honestly. Basing this on the Taylor who stayed consistent before his downfall. Not saying Judah can’t win since he has more advantages talent wise and I do prefer Judah over Taylor since he’s more fun to watch but I just think Taylor was exceptional enough to be competitive and possibly capable of out hustling Judah. Of course that also depends on if Judah is sharp or if he folds mentally.
