Kudos Bigreg for picking apart my post so well but you really don't counter my opinion with nothing more than excuses, in the process displaying your hatred for Malignaggi....I hate him too it's ok but when you have to make excuses to validate your point your abandoning your usually sensible logic It would be a great fight and if it comes off I'd welcome a friendly bet with you So how does Zab win? by KO? when? How do you see it playing out?....Zab goes in knocks him out and leaves after chocking the ref just for fun?
Alright, I told you exactly why Zab beats Paulie. No you tell me how Paulie wins, what does he do that would cause Zab problems?
duddde, great post!! i was just thinking about this today as i watched cotto v malignagi for the first time. was a great fight and pm has a grea chin . . . but the reason he did so well was because he had a speed advantage over cotto . .. something i don't think he would have over judah
Well I told you in my original post man....I feel that Paulie IS faster albeit slightly but still faster is faster..I also feel that Malignaggi has better reflexes and an overall better sense of distance and timing....this hasnt always been the case Paulie wins a wide UD in my opinion Also you don't have to be a power puncher to score a KD or even a KO you just have to have the timing...sometimes
Like I already said, Paulie's best punch is his jab. He does not have much in the way of a good straight right. He's going to be hard pressed to work off that jab against a lefty. So he won't be too succesfull with the jab and he doesn't lead with straight rights, he doesn't have much of a left hook and he's not much of a body puncher. Paulie is also not a good pressure fighter. So all the tools you need in order to beat a guy like Zab, Paulie doesn't possess. I can't believe you said Paulie has better refelexes than Zab, this is simply not true. In addition, Paulie doesn't have much in the way of defense and is susceptable to left hands. If Ngoudjo can land flush on Paulie with his wide punches without the use of a jab, what's Paulie going to do against a fast , powerful, straight punching fighter? Zab can stay on the outside and pick Paulie apart. He can also pressure Paulie and tag him with straight lefts all night. Paulie's supposed sense of distance and timing will do him no good against Zab. I see Zab winning via comfortable decision or KO.
I think Zab would overlook Malignaggi and not train to capacity. Zab has quick hands and can crack but he 'd have to bring his top conditioning game to the fight to keep up with the nimblefootedness that Malignaggi brings. I also think that Malignaggi can take 'em better than spinks at 140, so if the fight happened at that weight, i don't see it as being a KO. Larger weights could pose a problem for Malignaggi though if Zab trains to his best.(which again I don't think he would MALIGNAGGI UD 140 ZAB UD Late KO 147+ if he focuses and doesnt get frustrated with stinging jabs. )
On this one I do pick Zab. Have been watching some Zab fights lately and he does look good even when he looses. The first round against Tzsu he looked great. He looked good for a time against Mayweather and Cotto. Now, Malignaggi is a fine boxer in his own right but not a Tszu, a Mayweather, or a Cotto. I give this one to Zab.
Judah takes this one 75% of the time. In saying that, I hate them both and would love to see two perfectly sincronised left hooks with both of them hittin the canvas for a 20 count.
I dont know about this...Zab has went toe to toe with REAL CHAMPIONS and P4P fighters. zab is stronger & faster...Paulie has no power...Judah would OWN that grease ball
the battle of brooklyn... this is the fight ive wanted to see for the past year... all the smack talkin tween these 2 leading up to the fight would be just as good as the fight itself... i really see this one 50/50 in the ring.. zab's advantage is his power.. i'd go with judah tko 11.. again i wouldnt be suprised if paulie pulls out a md either
