I agree with all of that, but still feel those three rank above Judah's resume at LWW which is wafer thin.

    That's fair.

Paris isn't (and never will be) much of a player. Knocking out journeymen, that's his ceiling.

Mabuza was actually outboxing Zab and wearing him down with intelligent pressure until he just got caught with a big shot he didn't see coming. Judah is very lucky to have pulled that out of his ass...

Don't rate Irish Mick all that much? :think

    Prime Hatton KOs Judah.

Good power, physical strength, iron chin, lots of pressure, body work, good enough footwork to avoid being blown out by Judah early on (possibly, anyways) and relentlessness.

Muscle in the beginning, hustle in the middle rounds, KO in the latter rounds.

I am afraid to say that even tho Hatton was dominant and knew how to place punches and pressure a guy, based on the Mayweather fight, I can see Zab having plenty of success with his right jab but specially with his sneaky str8 left and fast combination punching. Zab inside 12.

Paris is only a touch better than Coleman IMO who is a B level guy.

You're spot on about Mabuza. People were intoxicated with the Sweat Pea factor and those knee dips. They didn't see Mabuza preassuring Judah all fight long. Zab's uppercut got him out of a jam there. The Khan fight showed how nothing had really changed.

Love Micky Ward, but nobody can deny he was limited. Soundly outboxed by Arturo Gatti in their second fight. The man had great heart, and one picture perfect body punch, but never the talent to bother a belt holder. IMO

He survived Kostya tzyzu's right hands, I think a prime Hatton could survive any Zab onslught. Hatton via tko anywhere from 10 inward imo.

Ive always considered Ricky to be a durable fighter at 140, pre Mayweather fight.

Hatton beat Kostya, who beat Judah so I'd go with Hitman.

I'd favor Hatton. Judah could and would cause him some serious problems, but Hatton can bite down and impose his will on Judah and be more consistent with his offense as the fight goes on. I see the body punches and taxing pressure making Judah cave late.

Judah would fold like a cheap chair against Hattons pressure and get koed late.

Zab TKO4. He had footwork, and straight punches.

Ricky Hatton was an easy target.

Based on the opposition and overall performance, I'd say the Witter fight...but Spinks gets the honorable mention. He looked unbeatable against Junior who was a very good JWW with a loyal and hostile crowd behind him. I mentioned the Spinks fight because Cory Spinks is clearly the biggest name on his resume despite looking a bit tentative IMO.

prime zab has all the potential you could want in a boxer, but prime hatton had the superior intangibles, primarily confidence and will power.

zab always eventually stops swinging after starting strong and then getting discouraged. prime hatton didn't fight as dumb as the one against pacquiao, and had a much better chin. after zab fails to get rid of him early, hatton would wear him down on the inside with sustained body attacks and drains zab's stamina, durability, confidence, and will. Hatton would probably win by late KO or UD.

    great thread Canibus81
