Interesting.....If Judah schools Lopez like people are saying.... How would Lomachenko have gone against Judah or Tszyu for that matter.!!!
Judah is better. But everytimes his name comes up, it always remind me that his funny knock-out moment against Tszyu
Sentimentality isn't a requisite for envisioning a Judah victory in this one. I don't see that Lopez has anything to torment Zab particularly — he doesn't cut the ring off like a ghost and exert insistent, demoralizing pressure (Cotto), doesn't possess the rugged hustle to eat the shots and bull through him (Tata), isn't particularly cute (Spinks), doesn't marry a concrete guard with trade counterpunching nous (Clottey) and has nothing like the composure, generational athletic talent and all-around skillset of the best boxer Zab faced (Mayweather). He can't even boast the toughness, steady demeanour and intelligent punch-picking (body/head) of Danny, nor can he get off first in rapid combination and be gone like Khan, both of whom feasted on an old Judah. Blasting out Commey is one thing, but pulling a Tszyu on Zab would be a significantly greater ask of Lopez' sense of timing (which lags well behind many of the better men that Zab has faced, Teo being more reliant on pure reactive speed) — he's likelier to walk into something that hurts him much more than George Kambosos was capable of. In due course, we're going to see that Teofimo Lopez' overall caliber is closer to that of a Terron Millett (no, really, and I don't just mean the backflip) than any of Judah's aforementioned conquerors. Like Millett, Lopez could conceivably find brief respite amidst an offensive torrent and tag Zab with something to make him touch down, but he won't be able to get him on the end of his best punches — and, just as Millett found, Zab will get off the canvas and continue beating him up. Lopez doesn't exactly shine down the stretch in fights. Zab could well get him early, but he'd be fine if it went mid-late. Either way, Teo is far likelier to get KTFO in this matchup than Zab.
Zab holds a significant power and speed (hand and foot) advantage. He holds a skillset advantage. His counter left rear uppercut is the single hardest punch between both of them. The main problem with Zab was he mentally folded and would always stop throwing. Teo doesn't have a great defense, his chin is not great, he was getting affected by Loma's shots (who ain't a big puncher) late. Zab would eat him, if he saw and opening and was inclined to actually throw in combination.
Judah W via UD (wouldn't be surprised if Judah gets a stoppage victory). Lopez has never fought at 140 & never has fought someone with the speed, power & athleticism of Judah. He has a punchers chance - but that's all he has.
Nether Teo or Loma have been to 140 yet. 140 was Zab's best weight IMO. Goes 2-0 vs those two at 140.
