Zab Judah wants 50/50 on American TV...tells Khan to keep UK PPV!!

For **** Sake. Do you really think Team Khan have any say in the matter? This is not some throwaway stay busy fight in Manchester - this is a HBO fight in America. Golden Boy are running this show and they are calling the shots. If they want to make Khan take Judah they can, if they don't they won't.

Judah is nowhere near as big a star in the States as you guys are making out. He's probably around the level of Glen Johnson - maybe slightly bigger because of the belt. He doesn't have a television deal and he hasn't been in a high profile for several years. HBO are already committed to paying big money for Khan's next fight, unless they're willing to increase the license fee then Judah simply doesn't bring enough to the table for 50/50.

 

You respond in that tone to the poster as if indicating stupidity on his part, when it's actually you who is talking out of your arse.

GBP & Team Khan co-promote Khan, he and his management have the final say in who he fights and how much money they want. GBP's job is to go out and attempt to fulfill these demands. GBP can propose fights and deals to him, work on his behalf to get fights he requests, It is Team Khans final decision. GBP do not dictate anything to him.

HBO however may at times state they are not willing to accept a particular opponent, or push for a particular fight, or offer a reduced sum for a particular bout, but even then it is Team Khan's final decision on how they proceed.

Judah was behind against Mabuza before the stoppage. He isn't active enough to win rounds and Khan is the wrong guy to be in with if you aren't doing that.

 

Yeah I agree it shouldn't and won't be PPV in the states.

 

I think you are forgetting that Judah is actually a big name on the way back after winning ibf strap. Win or lose he has fought ****ING everybody. Gave Mayweather and Cotto very good fights. The guys resume is the whos who of 140/147 division, he is still a big draw. Khan isnt as big a draw as you think, his last fight against McCloskey did terrible numbers, terrible. He NEEDS a big name and he needs guys like Judah and Bradley more than they need him.

wow. Khan should take that deal. that seems like a more than fair deal.

 

In this day and age of multiple sanctioning bodies, super champs, regular champs, interim champs, diamond champs winning an alphabet belt doesn't make a particularily big impression anymore. He has fought alot of quality fighters but his losses out weigh the wins. He can aim for 50/50 on the American money, and none of the UK money so he's already accepting less than 50/50 overall, but ultimately if any bending has to be done to make the fight it should be on Judahs' part, Khan has more options than he does at this point.

Khan has the reach advantage. Khan will Outbox Judah from the outside, then Judah would

try to get in.. But he'll take some combination on the process.. SO what will he do? Try to

box in and out? Or try to counter? Either way, i dont see him outboxing Khan..

 

khan will enjoy his reach advantage but it has to be said judah has been in these type of situations before and came out with as bernard hopkins would scream at you "THE W"

I dunno about this one for amir, its far more leaned towards risk on the risk/reward scale
