Kostya was allways know for his right hand and judah was knocked down by lesser punchers in the past. So I guess its combination of both. I personaly didnt like the stoppage, but Kostya most likely would have done smth similar to what Cotto did if fight went on.
Judah took some of Cotto's best shots which surprised me.I still don't think he has a good chin but it is not weak
Zab doesnt have the best chin. Its not as bad as people make out he took shots from cotto and other decent fighters. Fraudley does have a very weak chin for example. Zabs is not great but not "that" bad. Koysta was known for his killer right. So probable a mix made it look as bad as it did, lol!
Zabs chin is not good or bad, Im surprised to see the shots he took against Cotto, he showed serious heart in that match that I didnt think he had.
The Thunder from Down Under is very heavy handed and that was a perfect placed shot, it's not as much as how hard it hits ya but under which circumstances it hits ya, when you don't expect it, where does it land ( point of the chin, temple, et cetera). Zab doesn't have a weak chin cause he was outa balance against Spinks the first time and took a lot from Cotto without showing signs of that weak chin, his legs just gave up on him in the 11th after the enormous punishment and when that happens, it's all ovah! What one could definitely say is that Zab is not a strong welterweight and he may not hold up against a very strong guy who is above average in skill and accuracy, I reason.
I don't like Judah, but the nuclear war with Cotto says he has a decnet chin, and plenty of courage. That fight also proved Zab has cast iron balls.:yep Boo
He just got tagged with a great shot and got up too early. His problems are mostly mental. He had his head together against Cotto and put up a great fight, taking some really hard shots along the way.
Have to agree with the rest. KT was a devistating puncher. It wasn't just One right hand but 2 right hands back to back that dropped Zab. The first one caught Jab by surprise and the 2nd was from an angle that only KT knows how to throw and land that perfect right hand. (Watch the 2nd fight of KT and Mitchell, that's brillance at work) Zabs chin isn't bad per-say, but it's not anywhere passed a 7 or 6.5 outta 10.
Tszyu had great one punch power, and Judah's chin is definitely shaky. It's one thing to get KO'd by Tszyu but Judah also was on ***** street from one right hand the light hitting Baldo and has been hurt/KD'd by a number of mediocre punchers as well As for Judah taking the punishment he did against Cotto, people still don't seem to understand that Cotto doesn't have devastating one punch power. Some boxers have dynamite power where sometimes all it takes is one punch and the opponent is out or in serious trouble. Cotto is not like that. Cotto's power is accumulative, he has heavy hands that break people down after dishing out punishment over the course of a whole fight. He doesn't have explosive one punch power like Tszyu did
Zabs chin is below average, but seems to have gotten better. I just think growing up he was blowing people out so much that he never learned how to stand, take shots and give em right back when the going gets tough. I think hes learned how to do that way too late, now that his career is in a downspiral.
Yes his chin is shaky, he surprised me and a lot of others by lasting as long as he did in his fight with Cotto. I never thought i would say this, and even though i don't like him, he showed a serious set of stones against Cotto.. :smoke
