Zab vs Kostya is an example of the winner of the fight not being the better fighter.

    I agree.

I think Tszyu tended to get a little overrated in his day, but he seems to be generally a little underrated these days.

He was very skilled and had a good ring IQ.

    lol wtf?

Zab won the first clearly but by the second Kostya was timing him and cutting of the ring perfectly. What happened wasn't a fluke and was gonna happen eventually.

Besides, even if zab did continue, he is too much of a mental midget to win after being knocked down especially by a power puncher like tszyu.

    :deal

What MVC fails to recognise is that Kostya just missed him with the same setup and adjusted as you said. Kostya account in his book goes into this a bit.

I agree with Aquamarine, MVC is either mentally not right or a troll account, no point even suggesting kostya timed Judah very early and had already started adjusting to his speed and the fight was going to end within four rounds once Judah found he couldn't dance past him.

    Timing neutralizes speed.

Timing, power, footwork, and accuracy send it to la-la land. The fight was over as soon as Kostya got his timing down, as he already brought the rest to the yable. Done deal.

It took 1 round for Kostya to work Zane out.
    1 round.

    Yeah. What he^ said.

There is a huge variable here. A guy could be outboxed for 35 of 36 minutes of a fight, but he can win the fight in that 1 minute. He could be at a disadvantage in 99%, hell even 100%, of the quantifiable attributes that go into measuring a pro fighter, and still win a fight. Becasue it is about what you do, not what you can do.

Tzysu had that right hand. It wasn't a lucky punch. It was a weapon in his ****nal that he used to great effect, and it scored that day and ended the fight. That's baxing.

I genuinely starting to wonder now, how stupid a thread topic could be made that would still get people posting serious replies?

I'm trying to decide if my next thread should be:

"Why Pac would have KO'd Joe Louis, prime for prime"

    or

"If it had been a 15 round fight Lacy would have Calzaghed Super Joe :deal"

    Well MVC already called Garcia vs Salka;

Garcia/Salka, bring it on. This will be a major thriller
I see this fight being an extremely exciting back and forth fight.
    Strap in for this one.

So I think he's already past prime, he'll never top that.
