Set for undercard of Floyd vs. JMM.

Ive seen Tony's fight against Mosley (executed basically) and against Antonio Margarito. He looked very good for 8 rounds against Margo, despite it being a dogfight. However that was years ago. Is he still that good? Also Zab needs to get his ass to 140, why is he staying at 147?

Also on the undercard is Chris John vs Rocky Juarez 2. Plus Michael Katsidis vs Vincento Escobedo. These 3 fights actually have a significance (Judah vs Diaz less so), unlike the Marquez vs Mayweather fight, which is 2 divisions to high.

I am not sure where Tono is these day with regard to his abilities. I do know that ZAB isn't any where near the hype that once was and never would be. Zab would have always been better suited for 140 but when it came down to gritting it out he never had it. IMO, he was all glosss. I agree JMM is fighting at a disadvantage in weight but don't count him out.

Oh no I give JMM a shot. I've got his whole career set on tape (besides his first 10 in Mexico) so I'm aware of what he's capable. The old JMM would have a better chance as he didn't mind fighting of the back foot, rather than the new Marquez who is gonna do what all Mayweathers opponents do- come forward. I'm just saying if Floyd wins its not fair to rate him amongst the elite, as beating someone coming up 2 divisons is not that good a acheivement. Plus if JMM wins, will he really stay at that divison?

Based on JMM's last 2 fights i would agree with you, but based on the Pac vs JMM rematch, I would say that JMM can still fight on the backfoot for a full 12 if he needs to. I think that he was trying to get an impressive win against Diaz and Casa, but that when he fights guys like Pac and (hopefully) Floyd, he puts the machismo and excitement on the side and just goes for the W at all costs.

Like you, I hope he uses range and patience which is really where he is at his best. If he gets into Floyd's inside game he will surely lose. If JMM does decide to fight off the backfoot and PBF still beats him impressively, that will be a hell of an achievement, regardless of the weight.

I think Judah wins a boring UD.

Diaz is rugged, but not rugged like a Margarito, a Cotto, and not as skilled as a Mayweather or a Clottey.

Judah has no problem being pressured if the pressure isn't punishing and the skill level is beneath his own.

This is a fight he can and should win.
