I have watched Zab since his fight against Mickey Ward. I agree with you that in his prime he was very good but not elite. He lost all of his big fights and lost them big. He was no match for Miguel Cotto, Kostya Tszyu or Floyd Mayweather. Baldomir exposed his lack of stamina. Right now he is getting older and is damaged goods.

I've been waiting for that since the Cotto fight. Honestly, Zab was a pretty bad boy at 140, and if he can still make the weight and be effective he could make some noise in that class.

Blad Judah wasted his entire career. I hope he can wake up and start winning the fights he is supposed to have won.

Funny thing about this 'fight' is that while people make fun of Judah's opponent, they're probably not even aware that his original opponent was to be Adailton DeJesus, who got detroyed by Gamboa in a SUPERFEATHERWEIGHT fight 2 years ago, and i believe is still fighting around that weight class.

In that Baldomir fight, I didn't see a lack of stamina. I saw a lack of intelligence and will. He gave away the undisputed championship of the world to a guy he NEVER should have lost to. He's just not a class act. He never was. He had terrific power and speed by nature but mentally and emotionally he just couldn't live up to his own body. Immature, poorly tempered, classless jackass. He's one of very, very few fighters I've genuinely disliked. Talented guy, accomplished a lot but he falls apart and he doesn't do himself any favors by overpricing and overrating himself.

true, i probably should have posted about that as well, reason i didnt is because it was one of the most boring fights i have seen and casamayor unfortunatly looked like ****. he won the fight by a close margin in my opinion because he finally showed some of his old skill in the 10-12th rounds.

  8. Zabs problem is Zab. Is he aint champion material, he's mentally insufficient.

All he has(had) is a champions ability and an arrogant champions persona.

When he faced real champions he had really been exposed for the man that he is, and I'm not putting **** on him because he's still an excellent fighter.

As for this fight? A ****ing embarressment, even for a tune up.

oh, i guess ill add because it is my thread and im sure the majority here didnt pay the money for the fight (good idea btw, i knew once i confirmed my order i had just wasted 25 dollars haha). in the post fight interviews zab called out juan urango and also andre berto and said he would like for them to happen in february of next year. just in case people are wondering how the night panned out thats all.

Casa came at 146 for that fight-he never had problems making weight from 130-135-but 146 tells me he is done at 38...the fight wasnt that boring.trading punches at the beggining but last 3 rounds(6-7-8, it wasnt a 12 rds bout) was all Casamayor.

Zab can call 'em out but will he actually fight them or will he conveniently demand more than he would ever get?

not saying this isnt something that could happen but im just letting people know what went on really, and zab isnt really the type of guy who shys away from tough fights. i think its pretty well established that he isnt afraid of people

Zab has never ducked anyone. Thats one of the few reasons I respect him so much. Even though he never wins the big fight (besides the spinks rematch) he is always willing to fight the best (Mayweather, Cotto, Clottey).

You can duck people by way of overpricing yourself. Winky did it. I'm not saying Zab's ducking anybody in the sense that he's scared but if he makes unreasonable demands, it doesn't matter if he calls out King Kong. It's like Clottey, he'd fight anybody if the money was right but recently he's turned down fights because he thinks he's worth more than he is. Sorry but after performances like the Baldomir fight, Zab ain't worth what he's been turning down even. He's too foolish to understand it.
