I think Vitali has a good chance. Foreman was extremely unimaginative in his first incarnation. What Ali pulled off wasn't exactly rocket science but was sufficient to stop, not outpoint, George. Vitali has the physical qualities to match well with Foreman, also.
I'd give Ali more credit. I don't think many fighters would've had the creativity to fight Foreman on the ropes. And the ability to take his punches, and counter at the right time. One slip up with a guy like Foreman, one mistimed or overzealous counter, could open you up to a clean KO blow. And Ali avoided every KO blow while landing hard counters and lead straights. Ali winning that fight in close quarters on the ropes I think was one of the smartest displays of boxing I've ever seen.
Vitali would win his share of the points for however loing the fight lasts. Once George lands consistently, though, game over.
It's a pick'em. I have Foreman as one of the very few that I rank above Vitali h2h, both men prime and in top form. The Zaire Foreman was not in top form, so it's very possible Vitali could have edged it. If I had to bet my life on the outcome, I would probably go with George.
