Wlad is extremely cautious and George wouldn't have had an ounce of respect for him. Personally, I think he'd have beaten him mentally before they even got in the ring. George had great power, a great chin, and he'd have just kept walking him down aggressively, using constant pressure. Wlad wouldn't have been able to have manhandled him and leant on him etc, like he did with most of his other opponents.

Wlad would never have seen anyone like George before.

That's exactly what Wlad would've been able to do. Foreman had no supernatural strength and being 25 lbs lighter with inferior ring intelligence, Wlad boxes him like he always does and stops him mid-late rounds.

 

Zaire Foreman fought an idiotic gameplan and showed terrible stamina management.

Thats not a great combo against a high IQ fighter who fights conservatively and has superior movement and footwork.

Wlad wide points or potentially a late stoppage more times than not.

 

Wlad wouldn't have manhandled Big George.

That's just silly.

We saw the nightmare he had with Peter, and how cautious he's been in fights.

As if he'd have stopped him in the mid-late rounds.

I must have been watching a different Wlad to you all of these years.

George would have been a nightmare for him stylistically.

 

The thread should really be looking at a 25 year old George, not the one specifically from Zaire.

He fought the way he did, because he thought Ali was shot. Then there's the heat you have to factor in.

He'd have never fought Wlad in the same way in the same conditions.

Foreman was never KO'ed by the likes of Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster.

A 40 something year old George Foreman went 12 competitive rounds with a PRIME Evander Holyfield. '73 vintage Foreman absolutely WRECKS Wlad's world...
