I could see the best Louis beating him.
Any top 10 HW on their best night would pose serious threats. But I can see Foreman also beating them all except for Ali.

All speculation though, and Ali acctually did it. The best victory ever.

What happened to Foreman? He was outmanoeuvred, outtoughed and outenduranced that night.
Joe Louis was Joe Louis because he was a sharp agressive fighter in clown era, whose defense was often his offensive. He was easy to hurt either. How the hell is beeing agressive = outmanoeuvre and outtough? What a nonsense.
Joe Louis is in a bad matchup vs. George Foreman. And he won´t make it on his feet.

I cannot think of another heavyweight that could have taken those shots or laid on the ropes while taking those shots.....Foreman was fast and powerful that night it took an Ali to beat him on that day.....possibly a Holmes could have kept him off balance but if he is caught Foreman ain't letting him off the hook

 

Later heavyweights like Vitali and Joshua are probably pretty safe pics.

I think the truth is in between that almost nobody could beat him, & many would.
Sure a bunch might do so. But very few were likely to.

Foreman did not fight smart.
However, the ring was small & heavily padded, Even Ali had little hope of staying away-MAYBE 60's Ali could have.
Foreman had endurance issues.
But they can be overstated. It was the heat, Ali's psychological manipulation & absorbing punches that exhausted him by the 8th round.
And it is a big factor that Ali kept holding him behind the heard & pulling down with all his body weight.
This illegal tactic may have even made the difference.
Dundee did tighten ropes that were made for a larger ring; Ali practiced the rope a dope but he deployed it as a surprise only when the mobility could not work under those ring conditions & with Foreman's relative speed & great ring cutting ability.
