    Oh sorry, i forgot

Foreman was actually posioned before the fight, Ali just lay on the ropes and waited for the poison to take effect

Not forgetting that old boring claptrap about the heat which Ali and Jimmy Young were immune to in Zaire and Puerto Rico but George was n't.

I understand your point regarding Mercer. Ray had a helluva chin. Mercer would catch clean punches though. No rolling, blocking or slipping in there. I think that is too much to ask from even Ray Mercer`s chin. Eventually George would crack that chin.

It doesn't really matter because Ali was losing his legs by that point. Others, like Holmes, wouldn't fall into that.

I'd make Holmes around a 70/30 favourite over Foreman, but if George tags him with a big right hand, and follows it up quicker than Earnie Shavers did,all bets are off.

Yeah I don't hold Holmes in as high esteem as Ali in durability or survival abilities although he had a very good chin and serious grit and balls. Everyone landed very good shots on Holmes and Foreman is honestly leagues above Shavers in just about every department, especially finishing ability. I could see Foreman take Holmes out but I wouldn't put much money on the notion.

Joe Louis takes out any version of Foreman and I think by the 8th or sooner, only a very careless version of Joe Louis would lose to Foreman and that is not going to happen

    Louis KO3

the sword cuts both ways with Holmes because Holmes got dropped by right hands and only Tyson was a s good a finisher as Foreman, Snipes was green and Shavers has a history of dropping guys only to later get KO'd...Foreman had a good jab, Larry's was a bit quicker but Larry dropped his left hand and could be countered by the right but Larry had BETTER STAMINA THAN George SO George BETTER GET HIM EARLY...Joe Louis WOULD KO Larry AND IMO foreman

I'm not so sure that Louis would kayo Foreman. I give him no more than a 50/50 shot.

Foreman did mention it, then he turned around and admitted he lied because he was butt sore because he lost to Ali, fair and square

That version of george could beat any other heavy. My picks to beat
Foreman or at least go 50/50 : Bowe, Tyson, Liston, Sanders, Louis.
Sanders because of the Southpaw stance, speed, and power. Bowe
had the jab, skill, chin, and heart to outbox foreman and the power to
hurt him. Similar with liston. Tyson had it all. Louis was a master of craft
and the most complete technician. That being said, I think 40-0 Foreman
may blast out every heavyweight. Force of nature.
