    Don't beat the kid up too bad, your eminence - when I first joined, I wasn't 100 percent sure myself!! :lol:

    Here are my fatwas:

    Povetkin - looks like a good well-rounded fighter to me. His relatively small size compared to the typical HW of today makes me somewhat dubious as to how far he'll go, or if he'll be able to stay on top long if he makes it, but so far he looks very promising. I think he will win a wide UD over Eddie Chambers.

    Calzaghe
    - has certainly established himself as a top five P4P fighter, and the greatest ever at his weight. I will not accord him ATG status until beats Hopkins, which he will if they meet.

    Cotto - I was extremely impressed by his performance over Mosley, who I thought would beat him. He is well on his way to establishing himself as a great fighter, and I think that a fight with Mayweather would be almost a toss up at this point (pending Floyd's performance against Hatton). It seems as if his chin issues were mostly the result of weight draining, as Amsterdam and others pointed out.

    Does that meet what you are looking for, oh Godly One??:huh

    Ayatollah of Boxing, what are your thought on jihad against John Ruiz?

    Also, how would you rank the following chins?
    * Lennox Lewis
    * "The Easton Assassin" Larry Holmes
    * "Iron" Mike Tyson
    * Evander "Real Deal" Holyfield
    * Riddick "Big Daddy" Bowe

    I eagerly await your response.

    A jihad on Ruiz is most definitely justified, as his infractions against the rules of boxing, basic sportsmanship, and indeed human decency itself are many and legendary.

    In terms of rating the chins - To keep it simple, I will rate them on a scale of 1 to 10:

    Lewis - 4
    Holmes - 7
    Tyson - 8
    Holyfield - 9
    Bowe - 7

    And I do apologize for not responding to this thread sooner, but it must have escaped my gaze. Thankfuly, the Grand Ayatollah of ESB altered me to the fact that folks had responded!:good
