Some footage of Zale: [yt]opHSUGJEECI[/yt] [yt]cffrGzLO6i0[/yt] [yt]9Nc1H4eXUGI[/yt] [yt]kpRYrJGOSo8[/yt] [yt]Upun7mzz0ZM[/yt] [yt]wwVzJM3-cxk[/yt] [yt]VdKps1b2y3Y[/yt] Who wins?
None of those clips are of Zale in his prime. Watch the footage of Tony against Al Hostak to see how he would've handled Pavlik. Hostak was basically a better all-around version of Pavlik.
Could go either way. Pavlik has a very solid beard himself, and huge power. He's a far bigger man, and lets not forget that Zale was stopped several times. I'd favor Zale but not by much.
Zale was known as the ''Man Of Steel'' and said to be immune to punishment, Zale was a rough tough guy who came at you with both guns firing and if he had to take a good beating early in the fight to get you late on he was fine with that. Mosty frequently you saw Zale knock guys out with the left hook, but mostly it was he'd taken there heart away with his pile driver right hands to the body, Zale would dig deep into a opponents ribcage or under the heart. Zale was the best body puncher of his generation and for good reason. Pavlik is a tall Middleweight, who throws long hard shots stiff shots. He is very durable as he proved in his fights against Jermain Taylor(1) and against Edison Miranda. He like to throw his right cross, straight with lots of levarge on it, and most of the time if he get's you clean on the chin, you will be going down. Zale vs Pavlik would be a pretty explosive fight and a fighter were the fans would get there money's worth. Despite Zale being extremely tough, he could be over powered, as evidenced by his five KO losses. This would be a all out war, both fighters would test each others heart and will to win. And I could also see both fighters being knocked down at some point. I wound't count Kelly out here do, I feel he would be in with a pretty good shot at beating Zale and vice versa. I can promise one thing do, this would be one hell of a slugfest, while it lasted.
