Zarate Pintor controversy

    Robbery. Zarate even dropped him.
    I don't think it was close.

    I scored it exactly the same 8 years ago but I had Pintor winning the 3rd and the fight by 1...not sure I would score it the same today? All my dvd’s are in storage right now...I imagine it is on YouTube..perhaps I need to revisit this one

    It's usually one scorecard that turns a close fight that could have gone either way into a controversy.

    This is another of those examples - 145-133 was insane. The other totals were okay imo.

    Same with Leonard-Hagler or GGG-Canelo 1.

    I'm sure I read somewhere that the judge who scored it 145-133 mistakenly used the 5 point must and then had to adjust it at the end. That doesn't explain how both fighters ended up with odd numbers. He must of really rmessed it up. The first time I watched it I scored it for Pintor by one point. The second time I watched it I scored it for Zarate by 2 or 3. I thought it was a great absorbing fight.
