That should be his nickname, btw. Me figuring that out just now = the biggest and most exciting headline of this fight. Nay, of this entire card thus far.

 

I dunno...this is actually pretty good for what it is. Martinez is pretty live and willing, and fires back with some venom after getting hurt/dropped. He's outsized and out-matched, but he's hanging in there against Abdallaev, who has at least shown creativity in his attack.

We could, and already have, done a lot worse as far as this kind of fight is concerned.

 

If it goes past 6, I’m turning it off, going to bed, and never staying up for another RCC card again (ok I might be exaggerating but still that HAS to end in a knockout lol)

Edit: as I’m typing this, Abdullaev finally is able to put Martinez away lol

One more knockdown for the road...and HMS actually had been doing okay before that, might've been on his way to another "10-10" or at least "10-9 Abdullaev, close" - a minute left for Abdullaev to close the show...and, well, he sort of does. Ref gets the assist credit. Was kind of anticlimactic, didn't absolutely have to be stopped, but ...whatever.

 

Yeah, kind of a BS stoppage, especially with a few seconds left....

 

After what Carman did to Kean, if he beats Romanov he’ll never get another prospect to agree to fight him again lol

 

Plus...Zaur got the finish. Pretty bad stoppage, since Martinez was throwing at the time, but Abdallaev at least showed proper punch selection and composure in the manner that he went about his business.
