Well, that is true. A domestic farm turkey is vicious, too. So are geese, nasty buggers. Magpies are ruthless, they'll chase dogs & cats around the neighborhood and gang-peck them without mercy.

Chickens, though? I've never really considered them bad asses. I know in some parts of the country they do cockfighting, but you can make any critter mean if you starve & beat it. :nusenuse: That's how pit bulls got such a bad rap, leading to all the breed-specific legisliation BS. Nature versus nature and whatnot. Anyway, I digress. Chickens are pussies in my personal experience, and topping it off they're close relatives of peafowl, which I've seen toddlers at my local zoo get the best of. :sisi1

my grandparents had a farm and my aunt and uncle have two. the roosters can be very mean. hens not so much. red winged blackbirds are aggressive too. had one dive bombing me for about a hundred yards along a lake i camp on. once i got far enough from its nest it lost interest.

Pit Bulls were bred specifically for prey drive, gameness, and ya aggressiveness towards other dogs and animals but were also bred specifically to be docile and human friendly. Same as their closest cousins, the English Bull Terrier. To be successful pit fighters(which is the cruelest and most heinous treatment of animals bar none) they have to be receptive towards their masters and easily trainable, and a lot of their drive derives from trying to please their owners/masters who are sadistic pieces of ****. They are actually **** poor guard dogs by nature and are the most commonly stolen breed of dogs in the world mainly because of their inherently friendliness towards humans, but like any other group of living things there are obviously exceptions. In regards to their traits of gameness and prey drive, they are peerless in the K9 world -- the bull and terrier breeds of dogs.

It's absolutely sickening such amazing and incredible dogs usually end up as "pets" of the scum of the Earth. Prey drive and gameness are the two rarest, most unique, valued, and special traits in the entire K9 world. For good, experienced, and knowledgeable dog owners the bull and terrier breeds are the best and most special pets/companions you could ever have.

no domesticated dog has the prey drive of the Spitz family of dogs. for better or worse. i agree about the scum of the Earth. Pits are the official dog of scumbags. much like German Shepherds and Dobermans in the 70's and 80's, and Rotts in the 90's. my own experiences with pits are that they are mostly great or horrible dogs. little middle ground.
