    outmuscled????
    are you BLIND?

he was the one pushing berto around-backwards every time they tied up

berto has faster hands but zaveck has a good high guard
and in the end was landing cleaner shots

A rematch at the very least. Actually he should be declared the winner or at least no contest. Berto was charging in head first like a ****ing billy goat and the ref ignored it.

    Neither man was demonstrably stronger.

    It was push and pull.

Berto won the boxing match. (on cuts)

    Zaveck won the overall event.

The wrestling match was a draw.

Also I completely believe Z when he said that he was conserving his energy for the second half of the fight. That is the impression I got.

Hell, he was already starting to take over a bit in the first half. (second quarter, you could say)

Yes, that is the impression I got. And Berto had used up a lot of energy.

Was reading today in slovenian paper a short interview with Zaveck saying Berto didnt suprised him with nothing and that he had a fight under control. That was feeling Berto stamina went down every minute while he was just about to put it on another gear...He did say Berto is the best he was facing so far and that he has great speed but still he could control him..

Did you see how **** that cutman was? He was almost as bad as that idiot Vitali employed for the Lennox Lewis fight. Utterly horrendous.

    He should definitely be fired.

I can't recall who, but didn't some boxer traveling abroad to vie for a world title recently just give the cutman job to a family friend with no professional experience whatsoever in either corner work or medical practice? :-(

Large clingy entourages and favor-paying for the "little folk" can spell disaster for those who don't keep their eyes on the prize (because those eyes will get minced!)

He looked like a man who was losing a fight and physically breaking down. I wouldn't pay to see a rematch to watch the same thing happen again. At the very least he should add a credible win to his resume before he gets another shot. To put it another way, I expect him to fade away.

If winning the event is losing your title and getting your face caved in bad enough to require the services of a plastic surgeon your correct. Zaveck is just another contender that was hanging with a superior fighter till he busted up badly. Zaveck may or may not be able to beat a top welterweight but he hasn't beaten anyone yet.

Who has he beaten? Hanging with a legit former titlists for a few rounds before his face explodes does not give Zavek a special place in a loaded welterwieght division. He about the 8th or 9th best fighter at best. I didn't see anything that indicates he will remain a contender for long.
