Zeljko Mavrovic: What happened to this guy post Lennox Lewis?

Good chin, great power, gave Lewis a tough fight, he was 29 at that fight, I think he could have been a good contender, even to win a title. But he retired for some reason I dont know

 

You look at his record and no names jump out at you save he ko'd most of them.

 

I remember that fight.

I didn't formally score it while watched it as I'd never heard of the dude before the fight, and I expected an early KO from Lennox.

I was surprised at how close the fight was and rewatched it later after the ridiculous scoring of the three blind mice.

I had it 7-5 for Lennox.

I think Mavrovic gave up boxing and became a baker.

 

Try......life changing money.

Even as a mandatory, he'd had to have raked in close to 2 mil

 

Tax and expenses would whittle that down.

He was sick for that fight and became sicker, he had to retire due to illness, but I remember the fight, he gave Lewis pure hell!

 

This guy was the typical non-descript Eurobum and Lennox struggled mightily with him.

although he wasnt fighting highly ranked fighters, this video shows he was a decent fighter.

 

Based on a 80% KO percentage, and Lewis respecting his punches, Zeljko could bang. Just because he fought plenty of bums and knocked them out, doesnt mean that he didnt have power

 

Against who? He may be fairly powerful but great power? You have to prove that over durable top level opposition..

He fought no one of note & kayoed no one who was regarded as having a high quality mandible at world level. Sorry. Not having a go just sticking to facts.. KO ratios are misleading with no context.
