Hoping for a slugfest. Very nice matchup.
Not into Wilder as a person, but his entertaining knockouts and cheesy talking make up for a lot.
Good to have him while hes still around in boxing. Zhang is just class.

Zhang knocking out Joyce shows his power is real. Joyce really did have a good chin and it got cracked. Meanwhile, Wilder got stopped by Fury twice, who isn't a big puncher. He was also hurt against Molina and down against journeymen Sconiers. I think what gets lost here is Zhang is in fact a better boxer than Wilder. People seem to forget Wilder struggling with Ortiz X2 before knocking him out with a right hand. Spilka and Washington were also ahead before his power bailed him out.

Zhang should win this fight rather comfortably. Only thing making me not think it's a sure thing is; Wilder is a big puncher so he has a punchers chance, Wilder is definitely faster/more athletic than Zhang, and Wilder has better stamina. But I really don't think any of that matters because I don't think Wilder can take Zhang's power shots. So unless Wilder KO's Zhang in the first round like he did to Helenius, he's getting stopped early.

Exactly how I see it. There's a fair chance Big Bang simply KO's Wilder early, but if not Wilder probably wins by late KO (or even if not, I don't see how Zhang is going win many rounds while gassed). I don't see this as a 70:30 fight for Zhang as the bookies suggest.

He didn't look good, but styles make fights + power is the last thing to go. If he faced Helenius instead of Parker I have no doubt he would have sparked him out again. I wouldn't write Wilder off completely just because of looking bad once.

i think the five knockdowns in his last two fights with fury to go along with the ktfo might have something to do with it. and then there is the 39 year old thing in four more months.

zhang rounds 1-6 , 1-3 and round 1 at +2900 seem pretty good.

Sure, as I said before, Zhang early KO is not a bad bet at all. For sure he has the advantages at the start - better technique, speed and probably chin too.

I just don't feel at all certain of Zhang winning the fight, because he's likely to gas out and lose if it goes late.

2 flawed but dangerous guys in a must win fight. Even though there isn't much of a future for either this is still a good fight that I'm excited for.

I'm still favouring Wilder but this really is a fight where anything could happen. Fact is Wilder has never beaten anyone as good as Zhang and no Ortiz is not better than Zhang,

This is a very dangerous fight for Wilder. I suspect he'll approach this like the Ortiz rematch, back up, lose round after round and when Zhang tires and slows down, then try to land big and take him out. But this is also a very dangerous strategy as it gives Zhang time to land his own power shots and even the more elusive Parker wasn't able to go the distance without getting caught cleanly a couple of times.

Zhang KOing Wilder is very much possible, nothing would surprise me in this fight unless it somehow goes the distance, which with two huge punchers seems unlikely. Whoever lands first wins.

Very important fight for both men, another loss for either basically means it's the end of the line for them at this late stage in their careers. This is Wilder's last chance to get another decent win on his resume, this solidifies his resume and would prove he wasn't just an over protected hype job but was actually a good fighter, just not the best. For Zhang, his resume is based on the Joyce wins alone a second quality win and he's back in the mix and could secure other big fights in the future.

I'm not sure I heavily favour either man to win - I agree Wilder hasn't beaten anyone better, Ortiz was always overhyped... But the difference in some ways here is that Wilder isn't the much younger man this time, and he's considerably more shopworn than he was against Ortiz.

I think this ends in a KO - and who wins depends on when it happens... Whether Wilder can survive 5-6 rounds with Zhang to take advantage of Zhang's awful stamina or not.

This is very true - among all the hype, it's very easy for people to forget that Zhang has only fought FOUR top-200 fighters, only beat one of those (twice), lost to two and drew with one.

Wilder's resume is much deeper in mediocre fighters, but Zhang has a better signature win.

Im little surspriced how poll go here.
Its looks like Zhang is big favorite.

On Polish site where I write sometimes few good boxing fans pay my attention to fact that Wilder in paper is all wrong for Zhang.

I mean I belive Zhang got pretty good chance here + I understand that many people belive Wilder is past but still Im happy that soo many boxing fans belive in BigBang here.
That's good because I root for him and if he will try do more in Parker fight I myself would think he should win this.

obviously no value whatsover on ML.....but +700 on 1-3 and even the round 1 at +2900....great bets if you believe that wilders punch resistance is gone. ...he was almost out in round 8 of the parker fight....one punch away....

“For me, not only do I want to knock Big Bang Zhang out, but I want your body to do something crazy while it’s on the canvas. That’s my excitement. I want to see your body go into a seizure, and I want to see your tongue at the back of your mouth. I want to see your eyes rolling back in your head like you’re having great sex. So it’s going to be an interesting fight while it lasts.”
