    Amateur career:

    Two time Kazakh Nationals winner. He won 2013 Kazakh National Championships in the super-heavyweight division and won 2010 Kazakh National Championships in the heavyweight division. Finalist of 2013 Strandja Memorial, he beat Guido Vianello in quarterfinal via 24:11 score and Egor Plevako in the semi final via 15:8 score to advance to final where he lost to Viktor Zuyev by second round stoppage.
    Zhan Konsobutskiy is winner of 2009 Galym Zharylgapov Memorial, he beat well known Cuban amateur Osmay Acosta in the final of this tournament.

    Has win over England's Frazer Clarke via 2:1 scoreline in International Team Tournament in early 2014.
    Has win over Vasily Levit via 11:1 scoreline. And of course, has that famous 12:6 win over prime Medzhidov in 2012.

    I predict he can make a lot of money if he fights under the nom de guerre Sean Cassidy and moves to the USA. He could conceivably do well. He's a bit like Vassily Jirov, a solid punching southpaw with a consistent body attack. His overall skills are good. Hopefully he hasn't waited until his 30 or older to turn pro.

    He was really frustrating Jarrell Miller and has wins over Levit, Medzhidov and Gianello so he must have something going on. He appeared to have gassed at the end of his sparring session with Miller but he might have been dogging it if he was paid to prep Miller.

    Out of 27 amateur fights Zhan won via knockout in 9 and won via decision in 18.
