I think Zhan Konsobutskiy will be up with the top guys in due time. If you can last with Medzhidov over 4 rounds and not to get stunned and completely outbox the most heavy handed heavyweight among the amateurs than you certainly can become a top guy in pro ranks.

Correspondent of the republican Internet portal Sports.kz decided to talk with Jean Kosobutsky and ask him about how he is mastered in professional boxing and what plans he is building for 2018. -Zhan, at the end of last year, as part of the boxing evening in Moscow, you held your third duel in the tournament, where already in the first round knocked out the Ukrainian boxer Alexander Nesterenko. Tell us about how you were preparing for this fight?

    - I prepared for the last battle as usual, nothing in this regard without forcing. We were preparing for a specific enemy, working in the regular mode. Everything was as usual. -

Did you initially want to finish the match ahead of schedule? -

Yes, I was tuning in to this, but I did not think that the fight would be so fleeting. I expected to move a little in the ring. However, it so happened that I went ahead and quickly completed the meeting by knockout. It happens - you are tuning to a longer fight, you start to turn on - and in the end you quickly get your way. -

In 2017, you spent three of your first meetings in the professionals. Share, please, your first impressions of performances at a new level for yourself?

    - I like to be in the pro ranks. I gradually moved away from amateur boxing and began to master already in the professional. In the pros you feel more independent - you prepare for your battles, train together with your personal trainer, you know how you need to train, why you need to do this. So the impressions are the best. I'm glad that the fighting is going on, that after the break again I returned to the ring. All perfectly. -

With whom do you train today, study your rivals?

    - I train with my father. -

With what changes did you have to face after the transition to the professionals? Have you changed your boxing style after that?

    - After the transition to professionals, first of all, I had to understand how everything is arranged here. In recent years I have tried to understand this - in how it is necessary to work with managers, with promoters, what you need to do in order to achieve your goal - to compete for a title. As for the boxing style, I did not have to change it. I box the same as before, I try to show the shock box. It's just that now we take into account the realities of professional boxing - after all, on an amateur level and there are fewer rounds in battles.

    - And what famous boxer-pros you could call your idols?

    - There are many such boxers. I have, in general, more than once called it. This is Mike Tyson, and Lennox Lewis, and Evander Holyfield. That is, those are the people who showed a beautiful, spectacular, shock box. From these boxers I can adopt something - I want to be like them.

    - Where exactly do you prepare, train? -

I train in Kostanay. Immediately before the fight, about a week or two before it, we can go abroad and continue to prepare there, train and participate in sparring. A week before my first fights we went to Minsk and continued training already in this city.

    - Who now represents your interests in professional boxing? Who do you work with?

    - I work with the Belarusian company "Boxing Studio". -

What can you say about your cooperation with them?

"I've known these people for a long time." In this case, everything suits me. We started well: I fight, we gradually move forward.

While you are fighting in the post-Soviet space. Can the venue for one of your next fights be far abroad?

    - In the future, of course. We would certainly like to do that. At this stage we had to start - to conduct the first battles, wee neded to start building my pro career in Russia and Belarus. In principle, I liked how everything was organized in the same Moscow and Minsk. To begin with, you need to declare yourself, to prove yourself among professionals, well, and only then you can move on and fight in various Europe and elsewhere.

    - When will you spend your next fight?

We plan to hold it in early February. Who will be my rival and everything else will become known a little later. -

Share your plans for 2018 in conclusion.

This year we plan to hold 8-10 fights and after that, maybe, compete for some vacant title - we have such a plan. To fight, I'm completely ready - I can fight every month. I will solve all the questions about my career in the squared circle. In any case, in order to enter the title fight, it will be necessary to hold 8, 10, 15 fights - and I will have to prove myself well in them. I will strive to achieve this.

The next opponent of Zhan Kosobutsky was determined on the profiling

    # boxingnews @ kazproboxing

On February 22 in Kazakhstan Kazakh heavyweight champion Zhan Kosobutsky will hold his fourth fight at a professional level.

Contender of the Kazakh will be a Swedish boxer Aldo Colliander. In the record of Colliander there are 16 fights, in which he scored 14 wins (5 of them - by knockout) and suffered 2 losses.

Recall that debuting among the pros at the end of last year, Jean Kosobutsky in the first three matches at a new level scored three early wins.

Thanks for posting. He definitely has ome skill, no idea how far it will take him but ya hes got some ability and skill. Are kazak's and former soviet bloc guys the only fighters who still shift? Dont recall a fighter not from there incorporating it in the last ten to fifteen years maybe longer. BTW im a big fan of Miller and think he is a very good HW.

Zhan Kossobutskiy is set to face Aldo Colliander on February 22. Decent step up for Konsobutskiy. Out of 16 fights, Aldo has lost just twice and both by UD. Out of 14 wins he scored 5 KO's along the way. He has lost to Solis by UD and to Taras Bidenko by UD. Aldo Colliander is 6,5 ft tall, so this will bring challenge for Konsobutskiy.

You have been watching boxing for like two years and also think Gvodzyk is a fraud so any opinion you have should be taken with a grain of salt.
