To be fair with zhang, the first 3 rounds zhang is dangerous as hell. But making a successful plan to defeat him is not very difficult, tbh. Once hrgovic passes the first 4 rounds, it should be a TKO (or at least a very wide victory) for hrgovic. As long as hrgovic does not "pull a Teófimo" and he doesnt fight like an idiot, it shouldnt be too difficult for him to win. If he pulls a teófimo he will end up sleeping on the canvas, though. Zhang is not the best ever, but he's dangerous enough (at least the first half of the fight) to be properly respected.
Zhang is a 6'6'' 255-278lb giant of a man with serious power in both hands and a great amateur pedigree so he'll be very dangerous for as long as he's still standing. However, I got Hrgovic via stoppage
The croatian more than likely wins here but he has never really impressed me much and i will be rooting for Zhang in this one. Zhang a live underdog for 4 rounds or so WAR ZHANG!!!!!!!
Word must be getting around about Hrgovic in the sparring circuit. Maybe he's better than he looks against the limited opposition he's faced.
I mean, he didn't just wink into existence four years ago. Most who either had or have faith in Hrgović do so more based on his amateur run (and hoping that in the pros he would live up to his form there), not gym legends.
Easy win for Hrgovic. Fair play to Zhang for stepping up though. He's just too slow and doesn't punch hard enough to mix it with the world elites (not saying that Hrgovic is yet but it is definitely a step up for Zhang).
I'm referring to who he's been in there in the gym with in the last year or two. He was certainly always going to be a big risk for plenty of people given his pedigree and talent, but if he's been putting a serious beating on known entities in sparring then plenty of managers will have heard about it. It seems this might be effecting the risk reward calculation and not just his televised bouts and wiki page. This streak of ducking is getting out of hand.
I can get up for that fight. Could have been way worse. Zhang is huge and packs a punch. Early on he will be really really dangerous
What worries me about zhang (and that's why I think he will lose) is his fight vs Jerry Foster. Zhang hits like a mule, but his performance in the second half of the fight is (was) worse than bad. That's why I think that if hrgovic survives 4 rounds he should win easily, and I think that htgovic should have skill enough to survive the first 4 rounds. It is a good fight. I like it tbh, it will be a very interesting fight (and maybe short too because 100% hrgovic's chin will be checked at least once, LOL. But interesting for sure).
