To me it looked like Zhang dropped Parker so easily and seemed to fight complacent almost expecting whatever he landed to drop him again the only problem was that he didn't land because he didn't throw. He was waiting for the perfect setup that never came and Parker completely out foxed him with his movement and counter-punching. Yes he did get tired but I don't think we can write it off as just him being tired I think a lot of it was Tactical Zhang looked clueless in there at times and he didn't appear to have a game plan I think Parker wins again
Yeah it's getting ridiculous now, it's been over 6 months since they fought, Zhang has already had an interim fight with Wilder and Parker has been inactive all this time for some reason. I assume there's something in the contract that's preventing Parker from taking an interim fight as this is the longest he's been inactive since 2022. Zhang said a while ago he was still unsure if he'd fight Parker or Kabayel next, so not sure why he's calling out Parker when he has a rematch clause and can activate it at any time to force the fight, but then it's further complicated by the Saudi's preferring he fight Bakole. Zhang recently said again he wants the rematch with Parker and will be activating the rematch clause. But if we don't hear something soon, we can assume he has again not done so. If anyone is delaying this it's Zhang or the Saudi's who want him vs Bakole. Right now Parker seems trapped into this rematch clause and unable to continue with his career until Zhang and the Saudi's come to an agreement on his next move.
Rematch would be interesting. The first fight was razor close, Zhang dropped Parker twice without exerting too much effort, but a combination of his terrible gas tank and imo complacency led him to give too many rounds away. I had it 8-4 in rounds to Parker, when you factor in the KDs, that makes it a very close 114-112 win for Parker. The rematch essentially comes down to: Can Zhang make the necessary small adjustments to put Parker away for good this time - or win a few more rounds to get a close decision win? Or can Parker box even sharper, avoid getting KD’d and win a wider and clearer decision? Time is not on Zhang’s side but I’m leaning towards backing him to do the job this time.
Swear to God they are.............. original question: Parker won the fight even being dropped twice. Without those mistakes it would've been fairly lopsided. It still kinda was. Rematch for what?
Considering how well Parker fought with the exception of a couple moments, I think it's reasonable to label those mistakes on his part.
I got Zhang here. And I predicted the result of the first fight 100% accurately, with Parker winning while being down twice. I think Parker did everything perfect the first time around and Zhang was in his worse shape in the last 2 years, still being able to put him down twice. If he gets in the shape he was with Wilder, plus tried to really box Parker, not only knock him out, he can catch him and finish him.
